I don't know if there is cause to criticize Mrs. Sheehan or not because I have not kept up on all that has happened. I do, however, want everyone to note that there are other mothers attending this protest, such as Sherry Bohlen and Rebecca Bahr from Scottsdale, Arizona and mothers from Iowa and others . . . . all asking the same basic question, "Why should our sons be exposed to the threat of death in a war that is not justifiable, is not sanctioned by the world's community of nations and was based upon misinformation and outright lies from the administration?"

The rest of the opinions about wanting publicity, writing books or appearing in MMs next movie are all superficial until the question is answered by GWB, "Why should these young men die when there is no justifiable cause?"

Iaapac what part of Mexico did you move to? I have thought alot about moving there but havent had the guts to make the big jump. Mexico is a beautiful place but it seems like its so hard to make a decent living there.

And i have to say if he had been killed during that time i would not have camped out in front of Clintons house. He new when he signed up what that meant, Just like i am sure this young man did, You can not join the military just because it is a job.. You have to know there is a possibilty, you will go to war, Bush owe's this mother nothing, and the Secret Service should take her away from there. She is not showing her son any respect by acting this way. He was willing to die for his country, sounds like to me he was the only one with any honor in the family.

But Isis, isn't that the point. This young man did not die for his country. He died for what is probably a multitude of reasons, but not for his country. He probably died for personal interests of top politicians. He probably died because Hussein "tried to kill my daddy." He probably died because Iraq was a strategic agenda. He probably died because if the U.S. can control Mid Eastern oil, it can make the dollar more viable than the Euro. He probably died so that oilmen can enjoy the $65.00 a barrel.

Nowhere in the insanity of this invasion that people like to call a war can there be found justification. And if your ex-husband had been killed for no logical reason, you would have had the right to scream to the top of the Capitol Bldg. But the problem is that too many of us believe. Too many of us conform. Too many of us want to believe that the dignity of America is still intact. It isn't, Isis. It just doesn't exist under this administration and if mothers want to protest the loss of sons they loved, God bless them.

It is good to remember that when we lose a parent, we are an orphan. When we lose a husband, we are a widow. When we lose a wife, we are a widower. But there is no word for the loss of a child. It is beyond description or definition and we cannot understand it or what it drives us to do.
