I dont see has "evil", but the thing that bothers me is that after that actions, that some can call "unethical", the USA gov belives itself the defender of liberty in the world. a little contradictory.

And joc, nuking Iran in this moment is counteroerducent to the USA. Iranm isnt a ***** country like Irak, and nuking it can cause a mayor international incident, bigger that the soo caleed "Irak liberation".

Interesting you should bring up different view points in this country... seems we have something called... FREEDOM! Not to many rogue states have that. happy.gif

Anyways... I'd rather be right! wink2.gif

If the US is everything evil as you say....why didn't we just nuke Iraq?  Why don't we nuke Iran?  Why not just nuke the entire bloody world and call it done!  We give more humanitarian aid than any other country in the world...especially to Africa...do we get any thanks ...no...all we get is America is the Great Satan crap from looneys all over the world! wacko.gif

800125

You did nuke them. Depleted uranium.

A Big Nuke is bad pr, that's all, and that's why. It isn't about being "humane".

actually nuking someone is different to DU munitions, hell, the atomic bombs weren't nukes if you want to be pedantic, something to do with Nukes relying on a fission reaction, whilst the atomic bomb relies on a fusion reaction

It's kind of tough to call using DU ammunition "nuking" someone, even though it's environmentally unfriendly. The US military's M1A1HA and M1A2 tanks have armor made from this stuff. It renders certain portions of the vehicle (mostly the front) almost impenetrable.

Rogue states are countries that are or could be hostile to the USA. Offcourse the US aint gonna be on it, they made the list.

The current list of "Rogue states"

by the Bush administration:

North Korea

Iraq

Iran

Syria

Sudan

Libya

798957

Perhaps the ultimate rogue is the one making up the list. It is much like the fact that the United States "certifies" Latin American nations for the quality of their war on drugs. One would think that someone on Capitol Hill would have heard about supply and demand. If the United States was the world's major consumer, the Latin American nations would not have a market. That is how a rogue state operates. They hide their own guilt and assess everyone else.

Never before in modern history has a country dominated the earth so totally as the United States does today.

America is now the Schwarzenegger of international politics: showing off muscles, obtrusive, intimidating.

The Americans, in the absence of limits put to them by anybody or anything, act as if they own a kind of blank check in their McWorld.

Der Spiegel, Germany's leading newsmagazine, 1997

A world once divided into two armed camps

now recognizes one sole and pre-eminent power, the United States of America. And they regard this with no dread. For the

world trusts us with power, and the world is right. They trust us to be fair, and restrained. They trust us to be on the side of decency. They trust us to do what's right.

George Bush, 1992

How can they have the arrogance to dictate to us where we should go or which countries should be our friends? Gadhafi is my friend. He supported us when we were alone and when those who tried to prevent my visit here today were our enemies. They have no morals. We cannot accept that a state assumes the role of the world's policeman.

Nelson Mandela, 1997

Throughout the world, on any given day, a man, woman or child is likely to be displaced, tortured, killed or "disappeared", at the hands of governments or armed political groups. More often than not, the United States shares the blame.

Amnesty International, 1996

Why are we not among the rogue states? huh.gif because we are not a corrupt or wicked nation. We do more service and charity work for the world than anything else,we have saved the world's ass 3 times so far (WW1,WW2,Cold War) and continue to do so to this day. thumbsup.gif

heh Mandela supporting Gadhafi and then being critical of the US? HYPOCRISY YUMMY!

so they are critical of US non intervention?

They're not saying that at all. They're pointing out that many of these governments now absuing their powers and afflicting people were put into power, supported by or encouraged by the United States.

If not a totally accurate response, it is, at least, typical. World War I, World War 2, the Cold War? All completely won by the United States, thus "saving the world's ass." What arrogance. If the U.S. had been forced to fight the Germans on the Russian front there would have been a vastly different type of war. If the British had not assumed the African campaign . . . . If the French underground had not demoralized Nazi troops and provided critical intelligence information . . . . If there hadn't been any Philippine resistance . . . . If the King of Denmark had permitted the Germans to remove the Jews from his nation . . . . a long list of heroic and dramatic acts by non-Americans, all put in the trash can by typical American false sense of superiority.

Oh, but no. It was all done by the United States and the thousands of deaths suffered by other nations doesn't count for anything.

801674

did I say that? no!

I respect all the nations who fought to end the second and first world war,to serve your nation is honorable. you twist my words!

-the world did their service honorably. they all had their parts to play. but we re-enforced Britain with supplies, food, ordnance,etc... we carried out the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, we captured Hitlers "Eagles nest". thus playing a major part in saving the worlds ass in the second world war.

-----------------

-first world war

we relieved the tired french troops at bellau wood which was a major battle. we lost over 1,000 men on the first day alone of the assault on the wood. the campaign lasted 20 days.

this campaign showed the world that we are not to be used as "filler" troops (replacement) and that when we show up for war we mean war!

to quote a french officer ''You Americans are our hope, our strength, our life.''

"assume too much do you"-Yoda

Er...sorry? "Not corrupt"? Come on, have you learnt nothing of your history? Do you really trust politicians and your government?

No, you do not do service and charity, but create and participate in every war that has been since the 50s!

And above all, you guys don't mind your own buisness in conflicts that doesn't have anything to do with you (Somalia, North-South Korea, Yugoslavia etc etc).

You don't have to be a world police. We have UN for that.

And just because your president says that a nation or group is a threat to your nation and you have to destroy it doesn't have to mean that it automatically is true, you know.

I really hate to quibble over such small details here but........

shhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....Hitler gave birth to Nazism...

and to ignore the reasons why the german people were so willing to back him is just folly........

tell me again.

when did america eneter WW1 and WW2 ...

after chewing on some freedom fries.

America may provide more aid ON PAPER , in raw facts , but if you look at the facts , in detail youll see that per capita america is actually 4rth , per capita FRANCE gives mor eaid than any other country , then japan then the UK.

America is NOT a generous nation, given its massive wealth and power it should automatically be top of all the charts not 4rth.

wake up.

America, simply by the virtue of being the world's most powerful nation, is a target for everyone and every thing on the plant. But that doesn''t seem to stop everyone from wanting to flock here (including half of Mexico, Central and South America, it seems).

US foreign policy on the struggling German economy give birth to Nazism. Just like the Baith party supported by US (Iraq and saddam) just like the support Osama bin laden got for the US. Just like the support Iran got against Iraq.

The US has got a lot of people after them now no logic in creating enemies out of self interest. The US messed over allot of countries and they haven't forgotten that. that’s way they are rogue states (only rogue for the US)

Exactly...and also what redneck said...that it is the US that writes the list.

im still amused at padawan's comments regarding america single handedly winning WW1 and WW2

when did they eneter both wars?

and for anyione whos in doubt , russian's fight against the germans was far moredamaging to the german war effort than the americans, look and see the proportion of the german amry sent to fight the allies and spent fighting the russians?

lol... all you have to say is "Gee I like America" and watch as they try to liken you to dung not worthy of a toilet.

"But... America is good..." and you're not worthy of vomit.

"We've tried to do good things..." and you're the most evil selfish ignorant ape on the planet.

Oh come on, don't play a martyr here. Lots of good stuff come from America, I'll give you that.

But it seems that only the Americans themselves are the ones that still believe that their great nation does wonderful things around the globe. You should criticise and scrutinize more!

Yeah Celumnaz...what gives you the right to critisize us? We have valid points about our own country in an attempt to make it better and fair. We are tired of seeing our Military controlled by Insurance and Energy cartels...the CIA doing the bidding of the Mafia and the assassination of world political leaders and the jailing of civil rights activists. You know why you have it good in this country Celumnaz? Because good people fight the powers that be to make it that way. God help us the day we all stop to care about one another. Its not your beloved right-wing that makes this country great. They are the trouble makers...and they are the ones who killed Kennedy.
