KAOSInc Posted November 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2005 (edited) I wrote this in http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...showtopic=44773 for those that don't know how to download video from sites as I had read that some didn't know how to. I've rewritten it here as some people either won't go back to or never will go to that topic. Video Downloading For Your Perusal or Editing Later For those who want to download from Putfile.......watch it once at the Putfile link and it's already downloaded! Click on Tools(@ the top of this page) Click on Internet Options Under the heading Temporary Internet Files, click on Settings Click on View Files The easiest way I know how to find the file is to Click on View once the Temporary Internet Folder appears Move your mouse cursor Arrange Icons by Then just click on Size(Alternatively, you can click on Type) Now all you have to do is go to the large files and you will find it. Right click on the file title and just copy it into another folder. Alternative (Only if you can right click on the video image!) If you can right click on the video image being displayed, just right click on the video image, go to Properties and just Copy & Paste the Location into a Download Manager. To view it, update your codecs or just download Winamp @ www.winamp.com (It's Free) Location Finding I choose to use Google Earth over Google Maps because you have a visual display of the surrounding objects. But Google Maps wins when the area is not in GE High Definition area. To show someone precisely where a location is or to help them out with directions, use Google Earth. It's Free and only 11Mb. Download from http://earth.google.com/ Alternatively use Google Maps @ http://maps.google.com/ Example @ http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...ic=41854&st=195 Hells Gates & Directions I hope this helps & I apologise if this is a repost as I just couldn't find anthing pertaining to these topics using the search function! Edit: I skimmed over Darkknight's post linking to Google Earth. Sorry Darkknight, I was just reading a few topics where people were describing directions with text rather than using an image. KAOSInc Posted November 10, 2005 Author #2 Share Posted November 10, 2005 (edited) I would also like to see a Topic which has all the Famous & Infamous Haunted "Google Placemarks" which can be uploaded somewhere (it uses under 1kb of space). When you have downloaded and installed Google Earth, download this file and just click on it. Google Earth will then open up and take you directly to ........ Dead Children's Playground http://rapidshare.de/files/7450274/Dead_Ch...ground.kmz.html Also you can have Street names like the attached image added to the view. I hope this makes locations easier for us all to find! Edited November 10, 2005 by KAOSInc

KAOSInc Posted December 28, 2005 Author #6 Share Posted December 28, 2005 (edited) Motion Detection Program For a good motion detection program that's Freeware(meaning it's FREE!) use Catspy @ http://www.catspy.de/ CatSpy is a video surveillance application, which enables you to create a video surveillance based on cameras connected to your computer. It includes complex motion detection, a pre-motion recording facility and uses all DirectX 9 compatible capture devices. The detected "motions" are recorded as an AVI file, compressed by any DirectX 9 compatible compressor installed on your machine. Check out the features section to get a deeper preview of the capabilities of CatSpy. You can see CatSpy in action in the screenshot page, which shows you the most important dialogs and windows. An most important: this application is free (for personal use) and full functional. I use it and it's easy to use & works better that some programs you have to pay for! Ps. No this is not spam as I am not affiliated with the programmer in any way whatsoever! KAOSInc Posted July 23, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted July 23, 2006 (edited) To Review Videos from YouTube.com For those who want to download from YouTube.......watch it once at the YouTube link and it's already downloaded! There you will find something like..... get_video?video_id=z57JpOBXpOK Right click on the file title and just copy it into another folder. There it will appear as get_video[1] Now rename it to whatever.....but you have to add the extension .flv For example fake.flv Now you can play it in any Flash (FLV) media player. For a simple Flash (FLV) media player.....try this one http://www.martijndevisser.com/blog/articl...-player-updated But if someone knows of a better FLV player, please respond here as this one does not have where you can scroll the video back and forth to see an object move/appear(if you know what I mean!).
