Otherwise, I've always had an affinity for dragons and the Mothman (because the story is just so weird).

Dragons are cool but they're a nightmare to house-train. I'll go with Pegasus. Put a horse-diaper on it in the house and when you're flying on your pet, you don't have to pick up the droppings because you'll be gone before they hit the ground.

The Urmahlullu - lion centaur guardians of the bathroom who kept you safe from disease and from the demon, Sulak (who would not only give you disease but would curse your children with epilepsy.)  My cat, who follows me into the bathroom, is obviously a descendant of these noble Warriors Of Hygene.

But more seriously. For mythological creatures, I’ve always had a fondness for griffins. Weres too, probably because where I grew up it was the most popular UL cryptid. I do have a lot of fondness for a lot of the critters though, some of it’s pretty interesting lore.

Sea monsters are my favourites (Monongahela, the Alvin and Pensacola 1962), with Bigfoot (Patterson), and Ropen (‘70’s sightings) not far behind.
