GlitterRose Posted February 3, 2018 #51 Share Posted February 3, 2018 Holy necropost. I gotta go with Cthulhu. Otherwise, I've always had an affinity for dragons and the Mothman (because the story is just so weird).
Blizno Posted February 3, 2018 #52 Share Posted February 3, 2018 Dragons are cool but they're a nightmare to house-train. I'll go with Pegasus. Put a horse-diaper on it in the house and when you're flying on your pet, you don't have to pick up the droppings because you'll be gone before they hit the ground. Kenemet Posted February 3, 2018 #53 Share Posted February 3, 2018 The Urmahlullu - lion centaur guardians of the bathroom who kept you safe from disease and from the demon, Sulak (who would not only give you disease but would curse your children with epilepsy.) My cat, who follows me into the bathroom, is obviously a descendant of these noble Warriors Of Hygene. http://warriorsofmyth.wikia.com/wiki/Urmahlullu

You should have stuffed it with sand and buried it on the beach, with just a finger poking up. That would have turned some heads.
rashore Posted February 4, 2018 #64 Share Posted February 4, 2018 Hmmm, maybe the necrobeast.... it raises threads from 2005 back to the living But more seriously. For mythological creatures, I’ve always had a fondness for griffins. Weres too, probably because where I grew up it was the most popular UL cryptid. I do have a lot of fondness for a lot of the critters though, some of it’s pretty interesting lore.
Don Caesar Posted February 12, 2018 #65 Share Posted February 12, 2018 Sea monsters are my favourites (Monongahela, the Alvin and Pensacola 1962), with Bigfoot (Patterson), and Ropen (‘70’s sightings) not far behind.
