Missing one close to my heart today,  wishing I could get one last hug, a smile and to hear her laughter once again.

She'll live on in your heart and memories. On certain special days, I like to light a candle in memory of my mom.

Thank you.  This has been one of the hardest things I've had to face.

It's been many years since my daughter died, but not a day goes by that I don't think about her and what might have been. My parents and one of my best friends are gone now too. As one gets older facing loss simply becomes more and more common.

*Hugs*   My heart goes out to you.

It might become more common but it doesn't make it less sad or emotional. I am deeply sorry for your loss

Both my wife and I are sole survivors, we lost our entire families over the years, parents, siblings, aunts and uncles.

I thank God that my daughter that is now 39 with her own family are keeping things going with my 2 healthy Grandsons.

I hear you, I have no relatives left save one cousin and my two surviving kids (29 and 31) . Neither of them are married or have any children of their own though.

I can't think of anything more heartbreaking than a parent's loss of a child. Thinking about you Lilly. I've lost two brothers, a sister and both my parents. Still have two brothers left and my children who have children of their own, also numerous nephews and nieces. It's hard when you get older. You expect to lose your parents, but when you start to lose your siblings, it's a lot harder to face.

The kindest thoughts are being sent your way, Lilly. We keep out loved ones in our memories every day. They never fade.

My sister lost her little girl many years ago. She was around 3 or 4 years old.

Her name was Lilly.

Coincidental reflection.

My daughter's name was Amy (Amanda). I'm very sorry to hear about your sister's loss. I've lost my only sibling (my brother), both my parents and a very close friend. But, the pain of losing a child is something I can't even describe.

Because it's indescribable.

I'm the only "birthright" left at my Quaker Meeting. The only one with family in the cemetery and that is where my family is.Including my sister, her husband and daughter. Except for my druggie mommy and my 2 druggie siblings who I haven't seen in 20 years. I have nobody but a stepsister and her family.

Keep your ties to her and her family. Also stay supportive to your friends. In the final analysis we must all face most of life on our own. Do what you know is right, stand strong and be there for others in spite of it all.

Just found out today that a friend shot himself yesterday.

Not that it makes any difference,  I hope it was by accident.
