Indigo children

This is just my thoughts on the matter, but I believe subscribing to such labels is limiting because 1. You are 'told' and 2. What you are told is someone else's constructs of what they've perceived relating to a collection of external behaviours and traits. It's no where near touching upon the true inner essence of what an individual may be. It's something I believe only a person themselves can connect with, and not come up with via some check list labeled 'xyz' that could apply to 90% of the population. But if that works you, then..*shrugs*

I can understand why people relate to the concept of indigo/crystal children, but really a lot of the traits are typical of any one that possesses some degree of empathy or mediumistic ability. These traits alone are not really defining of anything specifically 'origin' wise. You'd need to explore deeper within the self for that.

Well it looks like we agree then. I dont subject to labels, even though, as I said, I have been called an Indigo child. I pronounce who I am with my actions through my heart and feelings, most of the time without a judgemental ego.

But yeah, labels are bad when one submits to them. Kind of reminds me of horror scopes that tell you about financial and love fortunes. Definitely not my cup of tea...

I disagree.. I feel it depends on the person really

I was told I was an Indigo child half a year ago. It did not instantly define my thought process of who I am from then on, but merely added an aspect. Children do obviously think for themselves too

How someone views things does not necessarily define who they are.

By accepting a label, you are:

A. Holding yourself to a definition of what others think you are

B. Limiting yourself to something because of something someone else said.

Lady Anvil brings up some good points.... especially about the part on passing on sylvia browne. Just because someone made something up, doesn't make it so.

I tend to be a cynic, but at the same time, I think about things thoroughly, and in great detail. I think about things like death quite often, as well as other things. I'm receptive. I can read people's feelings (facial expressions are pretty easy to figure out). Does this make me psychic, or some other fantasy? No. I'm human. Just like EVERYONE else. Always have been, always will be. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Why are people so afraid of JUST BEING HUMAN?

everyone has these abilities, but it just seems to be more accessible to those of us who are born during those certain time periods. i was born in '76, i remember being young and my parents telling me i was different than the other kids and not to say anything about it. my youngest boy was born in '97, he is one also.

i have all the traits of being an indigo, there's a few more that could be listed there and i'm sure the other indigos here would agree (i just can't think of them right now - short-term memory loss one of them?). my eyes change colors ranging from hazel-green-brown-blue. i have a small frame, 5'9" 145lbs but am solid muscle, zero fat. my skin is tan year-round, i have spanish and native american heritage but there's some heinz 57 in there too.

in school they said i had ADD, my parents told them i was bored. in some of my classes the teacher would ask if i wanted to come up and teach - of course i did. they eventually called my parents and asked them to tell me not to do that anymore. in high school i actually did teach my photo/video class, my teacher was an old hippie who recognized me and even asked if i was indigo. i ended up having that class 4 out of 6 periods a day my junior and senior year, producing the yearbook, video announcements, newspaper and anything else needed. i had full run of the class, even down to being able to write detention slips, hall passes, suspend people, etc. oh yea, and my vice principal was also my babysitter when i was a child, he knew what he was dealing with so he didn't object or get in my way, just tried to steer me in the right direction.

i have a major problem with authority figures and stupid people, i cannot work for someone or take "orders" from someone who has an IQ under 85, mine is somewhere near 160.

depending on my mood, electronic devices do not operate correctly when i am 5ft from them. i know when the phone is about to ring, i can use someone's computer for 2 minutes and know what is wrong with it - comes in handy, seeing as how i am a PC tech.

i can feel people approaching my house, when i show up unexpectedly at a friend's house i almost always get "i was just thinking about you!!!" or "you're just the man i wanted to see!!!" i also have developed a keen sense of knowing when law-enforcement is around. i call it "spidey sense", i am aware of danger or an impending dangerous situation or when something is about to happen. it's like the whole world stops, i get a flash of something unrecognizable and a sense of knowing "something is about to happen" and those words just come out without me even realizing i said them. i call it "a glitch in the matrix".

i have a very strong connection to nature and animals, most domesticated animals i can control with thought - other animals seem to be very interested in me. my dog knows when i am in the area, she will whine incessantly for about 5-10 minutes before i actually walk in the door - not the first dog to do it either.

when someone wrongs me or even attempts to then something bad happens to them that was 10x worse than what they did or were gonna do to me. eventually someone told me "messing with u is like messing with karma bro!!!"

for awhile i just thought i was weird, i have even had people tell me i am different, weird, strange, unique, not human - now i am coming to grips with this heightened sense of awareness.

I just stumbled upon this site and read your post. I thought that I was very rare and unusual. It is nice to know that their are others like myself.

I learned to keep my abilities, except for my artistic ones, hidden from others early on in my childhood. I breezed through school and classes, I easily memorized text, by photocopying the pages with my mind. I completely skipped two and a half years of school. In my 10th grade year I taught the advanced psychology class.

I have a very good memory too, to the point of getting me in trouble. I sometimes can recite conversations, verbatim, over a year old.

I can sense when someone is focusing attention upon me and learned how to follow it backward to discover who is doing it. I also learned how to focus my anger or attention on a person, to give them uncomfortable feelings and worse.

I used to "talk" to my dog with my thoughts. I found that I could sit in a different room and focus on my dog and make her come to me, without the use of my voice.

I too, can sense others before they arrive, but I think it is only because they are focusing on me before arriving, that I sense them.

I see into the future, usually only minutes, sometimes it will be days, and sometimes years. There does not seem to be any pattern to it, except that it is usually about an event that is not desirable.

I could not explain this to anyone. They all thought that I was crazy when I would even begin to try. I thought that I might not be human, that I might have been from another planet, or system, or dimension. And then later I thought that I might be possessed or an incarnated witch.

I have never tried to develop these abilities because people already think I am strange or weird. I spent most of my time trying to conform and blend in. At one point I almost turned myself in to a hospital, thinking that I had something very wrong with my brain and that I was going crazy.

I often used to hear music, usually when I would be awaiting sleep. I found that I could control the individual instruments and create any form of music that I wanted to. I liked symphonies the most, but I did not know how to write music. I could play several instruments by ear, or inner ear. I just never had the patience to learn the language of written music.

I too have a high IQ. I was tested at over 160. I was asked to join the Mensa Society and did for a few years but quit paying my dues.

My biggest complaint is hearing other peoples thoughts. It is not really hearing, it is feeling them. It used to drive me nuts. I started drinking alcohol at an early age to suppress it. There were times that I would be at a party, or in a crowded room and suddenly I could hear everyone's thoughts at once. It was maddening, and I would have to escape.

A few years ago I had the unpleasant experience of being in a house of a relative and sitting in the arm chair. I found that I could hear their lingering thoughts and I did not enjoy what I was listening too. I will not go into more discussion about the specifics but I decided to experiment with this and waited for a different person to sit in the chair, and then when they left the chair I sat in it and tried to recreate the sense of being an antenna that I had had before and it worked.

So, this is not only the ability to hear immediate thoughts of others, but also their lingering thoughts.

If you are like me then you understand that computers and electricity are very much related to us. I have found that I can project my thoughts and intentions through the computer. Sounds crazy. I know. That is not the half of it.

Do you have similar experiences?

There are a lot of other things that I have encountered that I would never reveal to normal people, if I did I would probably end up in a hospital.

Recently I traveled to a city in Europe and before I went I focused on three individuals that I knew were there but had never met in person. You will laugh at this. During my three week stay I encountered all three of them, all casually. One in an American Embassy, one upon leaving a subway, and one on the sidewalk. I did not speak to any of them. I do not speak their native language. One of them stared at me, for about 45 second, our eyes touched. I have no other way to describe it.

You see. I can not speak of these kinds of experiences because they are fantastic, and not believable. And this event or experience is not the strangest.

This last year it seems that some changes have happened within me. I can describe them. I am afraid to explore.

I just wanted to thank you for posting and letting me know that I am not alone in these types of abilities, or ill fortune.

I am also of mixed heritage. I have a small amount of native American, Spanish, and European ancestry, even though I was not born in the United States.

I have captured the face of God with jesus Christ as his right hand manifesting cristal conciousness into my home. I am 42 born 1967 and didnt realize what I am until this year, even though my father opened up abilities in me at 13. This happened in cloud formation 10 feet over my home. There are other spirits in the photos as well but they seem to be tapped into this dimension and you can see them when looking at the picture straight at it. If you take the left side of image as your facing (screens right side) and make it the top then you can see this image of Gods face, his eyes are very clear and Jesus Christ is his right hand and you can clearly see Christs third eye opened he is wearing a catholic vestiment called a chimere with a flaming cross on his chest. I want to show you all. I believe this to be Gods image in an other dimensional form.Cristal awakening is here my bretheren we are the human angels.

Same here, I've heard that a few times myself. lol. But the <i>fad</i> with indigo/crystal children is way OTT. See I thought the term 'indigo' originated from an empathic/medium who also happened to have synesthesia and due to her synesthesia she happened to notice a trend with indigo blue going hand in hand with empathic/mediumistic abilities in youths. Whether this is accurate or not ( I have no idea ) it still brings to the table that what one persons perception of indigo blue means is not necessarily the next persons interpretation. We work with our own symbols for things. So for me, the categorisation of traits and behaviours being umbrellaed is extremely limiting. There is so much more to a persons possible origin than just ticking off a check list of certain behaviours and traits. Unfortunately I subjected myself once to watching a 'documentary' about indigo children and the children that featured in that program were <i>just</i> fine, the adults and 'mentors' however were..

If you really are what they say, its a good thing. Indigos fall in line with the new age suppose to be happening at the end of times,also with the prophecies of pacal votan. It has alot to do with conciuosness of other dimensions, Other dimensional thinking. Something I read on indigos say that we live under a fifth dimensional shell. i think what this means is very simple. First WE are born into 3rd dimensional thinking bodies, prayer meditation and forms of finding enlightenment is a 4th dimensional structure and God and heaven being 5th dimensional, or at least our understanding of God. Indigos born over the past century who are alive should now be experiencing an awakening. Many cristal children should start being born all over,no mre indigos being born now,only Cristals and living indigos evolving into thier more angelic state. We are the human angels and we are here to do undo a great universal injustice and bring this planet " back to Eden" so to speak, heaven to earth. Even if you are not indigo or cristal (you probably are), there are systems of cultivation(meditation,qi gong) that allow 3rd dimensional beings to reach cristal conciousness. I tend to agree. I see future events and can predict certain things. It is like tuning into a super-consciousness that all life and non life shares.

I can also influence events and cause things to happen in the present and future by using the same tuning in.

I have noticed that these abilities have grown stronger or larger within the last few years. Whether they portend a global change in the world is something that I would hesitate to advance in any format or level of thinking.

I think that with my abilities that I would have seen something as significant as this by now, in our future. Indigo or not.

Rofl, one person overall won't be able to change that course of science...they will want more and more and more...which I can't blame them, then again you have those 'proving it' and wasting money, while you have those agenices that are using those indivdiuals and profiting from it then..who's the smarter one.
