[complete] Scheduled site downtime

Recommended Posts

Saru

The site will be down for a period of up to 4 hours during the next 24 hours while new hardware is installed on our servers.

This upgrade is designed to resolve the bandwidth problems mentioned earlier.

Please bear with us. :tu:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Ok, I understand.

Thank you for taking the necessary steps to improve this site.

I have only been here for about a week and I am addicted!

BTW, any possibility of a timeframe? (narrower than the 24 hours stated)

Just so I know what 4 hours I will have to be in a fetal position continually clicking the refresh button hoping the site is back up?

The upgrade should be scheduled for 11am GMT tomorrow, however I can't confirm if that will definately be the time at which it will start.

I think that's about 6 am Connecticut time. Good, that is my least fav time to be conscious!

Just to confirm, the downtime should take place between 11am and 3pm GMT (5am-9am CST) as planned.

Although it can take up to four hours, it probably won't take the full four hour period to complete.

Dang!

I am actually awake at this hour!

Are you about to put the site under anesthesia? Is it safe to stay on until the site actually goes down, or should we log off now?

That was done much quicker than I had expected, the hardware upgrade has now been completed.
