Yeppppppppp. I'm talking about Hugo Chavez. LOL. Didn't want to write his name in the

title because if I did no one would come and read this. Because they are tired of hearing

garbage coming out of his mouth.

President Hugo Chavez described Washington's foreign policy as "crazy" Thursday after the U.S. Secretary of State labeled his government as one of the region's biggest dangers just days after making a diplomatic overture to mend frayed ties.

"Are they crazy?," the leftist Chavez told reporters. "Could it be true what the people in the street are saying? That Chavez is driving them crazy?"

Chavez was responding to comments made earlier Thursday in Washington by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to the House Foreign Relations Committee: "The Western Hemisphere is our neighborhood. One of the biggest problems is Venezuela."

"The Chavez government is attempting to influence Venezuela's neighbors away from democratic processes," Rice had said, adding that the country's close ties to Cuba were "particularly dangerous" for regional stability.

"See this aggression?," Chavez said. "They are the ones that attack us, everyday." "They've tried for some years to isolate us, to block us. They've failed and they will fail because they are wrong," he said. "World opinion is with Venezuela."

Thursday's dispute reverses what had appeared to be slight detente in the two countries' strained relations. On Tuesday, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Thomas Shannon invited Venezuela's ambassador Bernardo Alvarez to a meeting in Washington that was welcomed by both sides as a significant step toward greater communication despite political tensions.

"The government of (U.S. President George) Bush does not have a foreign policy," said Chavez, reports the AP.

yep, that embargo is the problem, not castro. By the way. Chavez is a little paranoid about the USA and raise that militia in response to the military "help" the USA give to the colo...i mean, the counytry of Colombia. Also now the USA "convince" Paraguay to give then a nice and little base there. Chavez is suporting left wing democracies/countries, thig that the current USa administration didnt like .Bad for them.

Hobestly. I see more dangerous the erratic USA policies in South America than Chavez or other "dangerous" leader.

belive it or not America is the blame for alot of Cubas problems.

They held a puppet government over Cuba for over half a century controling most of its industry and land. When Castro took power he gave that land and industry back to the Cubans. And because he fought for his people the US dosnt like him because he also fought Against America.

Sure Socialism isnt perfect but i like Cuba, its not a police State, and people are free to go were they wish, for the most part.

Are countries not allowed to choose who they can and cannot trade with? It's not a right to trade...

If Cuba is suffering so much... they can change and start to trade with the US then. If not... it's their problem.

Well said Thanato Castro is a good leader and most Cubans respect him back him up. The embargo is the biggest problem there.

Its the same with all these left-wing socialists South-American Countries. They don't bow to the US they are considered enemies of the US - 'You're either with us, or you're against us'

I would say Chavez is being precautious as opposed to paranoid. If the US could get away with it, they would assassinate without a second thought. Hell, even so called celebrity Christians can call for his assassination and not face any repercussions.

The US was also behind the failed coup against Chavez in 2002.

So it's not paranoia.
