battleangel Posted February 20, 2006 #30 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Hi Shiggity, A few things to think about. Are you tired? If you're tired, you might not be sleeping well and reacting violently to bad dreams. ITP, as T-Nemesis, is one suggestion but there is a whole slew of different bleeding disorders that can cause what would seem to be spontaneous bruising. Ironically enough, I have a bleeding disorder (Von Willebrands) myself and I will get some weird bruises in areas that would've been just impossible for me to bump. So, it is worth checking out with a doctor. Could be something mild (mine is relatively mild--just makes me seem like a banana lol), might not. Doesn't hurt to check and the doctor might prescribe some kind of sleep medicine to help you stay rested at night (no nightmares). So, go get it checked out and talk about this with your doctor. If you come up with a clean bill of health and are still having problems, then, yeah, something awfully peculiar is going on.
