Battle of the Football codes!

Debate Topic: Which code of 'football' is the most superior? Teams will not only have to argue about the skills involved, but what the specific code has brought to society, the level of entertainment it provides, the economic gains and so on. You will have to prove that your code of football has had the most positive and significant impact on society.

This debate is going to be slightly different. It will still be a 2v2 debate but the participants will be able to choose from the most popular football codes. Soccer, NFL, Rugby league or Union and AFL. The first two codes to have 2 participants apply to debate for its superiority will be the two being debated.

I have a question,well maybe two,our we suppose to debate why our football(NFL) is better then rugby? or just all the Positive thing's about the NFL and what it means here in the US?

i would not mind having a go at this but i know maybe 10% about rugby and i will feel foolish pretending to say American Football is better then rugby not knowing a thing about it.

I know allot about Football in the US so that part would be no problem.

Both would be my advice although if you do not know as much about the code you are going against center your argument mainly around the positive aspects the game has had on society.

edit: I suppose if I were to choose, I'd say soccer, but really, I'm not too worried which i debate....

Right it appears that no one else is going to express interest in this debate. If there are no objections I will put my hand up to debate with PA.

No worries Frogfish but it may just take another couple of days as the Debate tournament preperation is being finalised.

If another member comes along and wishes to debate one of the remaining football codes with PA then I will have no problem stepping aside though.
