Solve et Coagula Posted April 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2006 Swiss president criticizes Europe for boycott of Palestinian govt 24.04.2006, 00.33 AL KUWAIT, April 24 (Itar-Tass) -- Swiss President Moritz Leuenberger criticized European countries for their boycott of the Hamas Palestinian government in a Sunday interview with the Qatari satellite television channel Al Jazeera. The new Palestinian government should be given a chance instead of being forced to abide by preliminary conditions, he said. Hamas took the office through democratic elections, and one should respect the choice of the Palestinian people and the election results, Leuenberger said. At the same time, Hamas leaders should change their tactics as compared to their opposition days, he said. The Swiss government does not object to meetings with Palestinian governmental officials, he noted. The Swiss president, who is also the oil minister, visited the Qatari capital of Doha to attend the tenth world energy forum. http://www.itar-tass.com/eng/level2.html?N...47381&PageNum=
__Kratos__ Posted April 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2006 He wants to give terrorists a chance to be good little boys and girls? Maybe he missed the news these last weeks about a bombing being supported and a Hamas cache of weapons being found in Jordan and so on. They won't change and supporting them more will only make things worse rather then better.

Dennison Posted April 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2006 You believe that the Palestinian government are terrorists? When the US has been on the side of Israel for years and years, with money exchanging hands. In the interest of fairness, the only reason the United States is in cahoots with Israel is money. http://www.ifamericansknew.org/us_ints/ Although it is not often reported by the press, a large proportion of American diplomatic and military experts have long held that U.S. support of Israel is often contrary to and, in fact, extremely damaging to U.S. interests. Support for Israel interferes with: American relations with the oil-producing nations, with whom we previously had friendly ties; with Muslim consumers, who represent 1.2 billion people world-wide; and removes much-needed money from domestic American requirements — tax revenues that could be addressed to domestic needs are instead sent abroad to prop up a system of discrimination that is antithetical to American principles of equality and democracy. Whats so bad about the Palestinians wanting their land that they occupied before the Zionists came into Israel and took it over?
Watzel Posted April 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2006 I get it now, boy I must be giving people a huge benefit of the doubt. They think that Americans are so stupid that they can spew hatred about our country and it's people, burn our flag screaming down with the USA, threaten to kill all Americans etc., and still hold out their hand for money they expect us to give them. Kind of like hiring someone to slap you in face.
