'New mammal' seen in Borneo woods!

In the dense central forests of Borneo, a conservation group has found what appears to be a new species of mammal.

I agree that the BBC is a very reliable resource for information.

In fact they will more than happily put their hands up if they make a mistake.

What we have here is potentially a new discovery. There could be many factors including poor angle of shot, deformed creature etc...., but these will either be proven or disproved in time.

We would be very naive to believe we have discovered all forms of creatures on this planet.

It is only a matter of time before further are discovered.

I certainly hope this is a new species which may/ may not allow a protection area against logging to be formed.

We wait with anticipation.

yea i remember reading aobut this little guy apparently the natives who were shown thep icture know them very well. it doenst look like any known animals in the area. it could be similar to the foosa or maby a lemur like aniaml. either way its a wonderful find

A lynx? Do you even know what a lynx is?

I remeber that this is a new species...Called the Laotian Rock Rat. Its not a rat, but a relative of the coati and kinkajou.

that is a tarsier it is small as a hamster i think it looks like a fossa[attachmentid=27229]
