mjanus666 Posted April 7, 2009 #376 Share Posted April 7, 2009 I've had this happen a couple of times. I def. agree that mirrors are creepy, I have a blue night light in mine and it just generally has a creepy vibe in there, old house, yada yada, ultimately I like it though so whatev. Getting back to the topic though. I have had a few experiences with this but when I was a young buck 17-18, all of them were under influence of hallucinogens too, so. NosmoKing Posted April 10, 2009 #377 Share Posted April 10, 2009 Note to self: don't try this, while alone at night, just having watched the 'Bloody Mary' episode of Supernatural. Bad mix. In need of alcohol.
Prizma Posted April 13, 2009 #378 Share Posted April 13, 2009 Lol I used to stare at myself in the mirror alot when I was a teenager, because I thought it was interesting. After a while my eyes would unfocus just enough for my face to appear to be shifting into another person or my face would appear to age. I am glad to read I am not the only one who did this
Kissmet Posted April 13, 2009 #379 Share Posted April 13, 2009 I've tried it before. Really weird. I slept with the covers over my head that night. same here. It was the most frightening sight looking at myself that long in the mirror.
Cirrus Posted April 16, 2009 #380 Share Posted April 16, 2009 I can find nothing wrong whatsoever with my reflection. I guess it's just because I'm perfect looking! In all seriousness though, it probably has something to d with your mind getting tired or bored of looking at something for so long.
OldTimeRadio Posted April 17, 2009 #381 Share Posted April 17, 2009 By the way, wouldn't you very likely get the same "melting" effect if you set up an experiment where you stared at somebody else in a mirror?
Neon Pony Posted April 17, 2009 #382 Share Posted April 17, 2009 Nothing too weird, just a blur image of myself.
wanisika Posted July 7, 2009 #383 Share Posted July 7, 2009 I'm too scared to try it out... If I try it and see something weird, I don't think I will face the mirror again !

azeron112 Posted July 12, 2009 #388 Share Posted July 12, 2009 Well I did it just now. But my face didn't melt or anything like that. Instead I saw my aura ? Like a bright purplish color. Did this happen to anybody else???
Mizz Bat Posted January 3, 2010 #389 Share Posted January 3, 2010 I hate mirrors, especially in the dark; i have a bathroom right next to my room and it's a big mirror right in front of the sink and at night when i get up to walk downstairs and can't even look in the mirror; it's just something about looking into the mirror in the dark that's * shrugs* <img src="http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> I feel the same way! Feltorn Posted January 7, 2010 #390 Share Posted January 7, 2010 who needs a mirror? I once stared at the floor in my science lab at school for around 5 minutes without blinking (it was a very boring lesson) After a while, the floor looked like it had cracked in some places, and the cracked plates of floor were moving over each other, And it had changed color, and it looked like there were ants all over it. Then I blinked, and it was a normal floor again. So I tried again and got the same effect. Was trippy.

budancer Posted January 9, 2010 #392 Share Posted January 9, 2010 i was looking in the mirror 1 morning fixing my hair. Then i felt a warm air around me and my face started to change whilst i was standing there. Then i realised my face was no longer mines but instead was my granpas who had passed away when i was a kid. This made me feel a sense of happiness but was odd at the same time cause it had never happened before that day.
SilverKya Posted January 12, 2010 #393 Share Posted January 12, 2010 I looked in the mirror for a long time (about ten minutes, trying to get my hair just right) and i swore I seen something behind me, looked dark and shadow-like. And this was in daylight.... Mirrors are weird though...or so I think so. D:

seb villain Posted January 13, 2010 #395 Share Posted January 13, 2010 I did it and it was like i was looking at multiple different faces. Some times i had 4 eyes the they all went to the center into 1 eye then i had no face. During that process it was like i could see a sinister face about the size of bottle cap in the center of my face it had the joker from batmans smile and face shape but coulnt see above the nose just the bottom half. Lastly it was as if i was twisting my head like how ghosts move in movies very quickly to all angles with the movement blur.

I, personally, would have turned away around about the moment when my eyes merged together. Thats just weird stuff man...
