On Mount St Helen's it has this description -

UNITED STATES

Volcano: Mt. St. HELENS

Continuous"Live-Cam" of Mt. St. Helens.

Latest NOAA satellite image of the Mt. St. Helens eruption.

As of the 1st of June, the Cascades Volcano Observatory (CVO) reported that growth of the new lava dome inside the crater of Mt. St. Helens continues, accompanied by low rates of seismicity, low emissions of steam and volcanic gases, and minor production of ash. During such eruptions, changes in the level of activity can occur over days to months. The eruption could intensify suddenly or with little warning and produce explosions that cause hazardous conditions within several miles of the crater and farther downwind. Small lahars could suddenly descend the Toutle River if triggered by heavy rain or by interaction of hot rocks with snow and ice. These lahars pose a negligible hazard below the Sediment Retention Structure (SRS) but could pose a hazard along the river channel upstream. The CVO also reported a rockfall accompanied by about 2 minutes of activity that produced ash that has risen at least to 20,000 ft. Light and variable winds are keeping the ash fairly near the summit and it is difficult to determine a direction but a slow northerly movement seems most likely.

What does this mean? and more specifically what is `growth of the new lava dome` mean exactly?

Kind regards

^Growth of the lava dome simply means that is rising. There's more activity at St. Helens building up; gas being released, Earth tremors etc. so they think it could begin erupting soon.
