Jack_of_Blades Posted July 10, 2006 #26 Share Posted July 10, 2006 I'd say that hedgehogs intrigue me most of all. They're funny little critters and do some weird things. From self anointing, to chasing cats. Their personalities are so unique too. They are also quite smart. Of course, I could just be biased because I own one... [attachmentid=26753] [attachmentid=26755] I'm also a big fan of the platypus and porcupine. I used to have an old albino hegehog named Hegey

Jack_of_Blades Posted July 11, 2006 #30 Share Posted July 11, 2006 (edited) i like turtles in general because of their gentle and quiet nature. Not snappers. The big ones can cut you up pretty bad. I once caught one in the shallows of a pond, and he almost took my finger off! Edited July 11, 2006 by Jack_of_Blades

Atheist God Posted July 16, 2006 #33 Share Posted July 16, 2006 being that this is subjective to the max, i'm going to have to say that the wolf is the most intriguing animal of all time. aren't animals cool? soon we might not have any... Daddy can you tell me about the birds and the bees? Sorry son they're all dead... Now shut up and eat your soylent green! 1- Humans (smartest) 2- Spiders (haven't really evolved in 300 million years) 3- Your mom (sexiest) 4- Electric Eels (some can put you on your ass) 5- sharks (haven't evolved since the dino's existed) 6- Godzilla (super awesome) 7- Dolphins (taste good) 8- Ants (natural example of mind control through neural chemical and homonal reactions) 9- Cockroach ( can survive with chopped head and can survive a nuclear winter 10- Bill Clinton ( he is an animal in his own right)

Great Big Sea Posted July 17, 2006 #38 Share Posted July 17, 2006 Cats: Okay that's cliche but eh I still love 'em! I can't wait until our cat comes back home from my sisters apatment! I can't wait to pet her again! I miss her fur! Octopus: Sure I don't like Calimari (had a rubbery one seven years ago at a Greek Restaurant and I have been turned off since. Oh wait- I think Calimari is Squid? ) Anyhoo my sister told me about one at the Vancouver Aquarium that swam up it's circular habitat and would go directly to the feeding area and sneek fish. That was a smart little guy! I'm not sure if this fits in this topic but I love Hammerhead Sharks! I just love how their heads look like hammers! ^^ Panthers: They are beautiful and they look as lazy when their in trees like my pet Cat. Frogs: My cat would stare at it if she wasn't on my chair. Chiwawa's: I remember a family friend ours and my sister once peeved one off when we were vacationing in Oregon a few years ago. Boy was it mad! But they are cute little things. Of course I would rather have three Tabby Cats, all male.

Atreju Posted July 18, 2006 #40 Share Posted July 18, 2006 Daddy can you tell me about the birds and the bees? Sorry son they're all dead... Let's see how it compares to mine: 1 - Humans (smart, yes but also amazingly stupid. just watch jackass) 2 - Penguins (have you seen march of the penguins? incredible.) 3 - Women (i know they're human too but sometimes they're in a class all their own. really intruiging, mind-boggling creatures. 4 - Nessie (whether she really exists or not she has developed a life of he own) 5 - Common Cats (strange the way they look at you. like they know something we don't and they just tolerate our dominance of the world) 6 - Tiger (majestic felines) 7 - Dogs (can you count the movies they've starred in?) 8 - Giant Squids (for staying hidden for soooo long) 9 - Koala (funny how they move - like old men on prozac) 10 - Panda (so darn cute!) Atreju Posted July 19, 2006 #42 Share Posted July 19, 2006 how have they hidden? We have been finding corpses for the last two centuries... I mean no one's ever seen one alive or recorded it on film. it was only recently that they managed to catch a glimpse of one of these critters and captured it on film. Saint Posted July 19, 2006 #43 Share Posted July 19, 2006 My favorite is the panther chameleon... Never seen one - anyone got a pic? My favourites could also be a long, long list; let's see: Snakes of all kinds, but the cobras are the best Dolphins - something there - a strange connection between dolphins and man Octopuses for their incredible intelligence Horses - graceful, strong and beautiful animals Tigers - the most beautiful of the big cats (I like them all though) and they love water... All birds belonging to the raptor family, especially the eagles and hawks Seahorses for their delicate beauty Sharks - am very drawn to their beauty and mystery - particularly the Great White Starfish umm.... I could continue...

Saint Posted July 19, 2006 #47 Share Posted July 19, 2006 You live in India Frogfish? And of course they've got the magnificent King Cobra there. Once I saw a Cape Cobra behind a dustbin when I was on holiday on the Cape East Coast over here. Gee the chameleon goes lovely colours - must say. I am a little nervous of chameleons, don't know why - I always regarded them from a distance rather than from up close..
