Man v.s World

Ancient Sorceress

Recommended Posts

In 97 years,

lets say, Man will destroy this earth, technology we have is beening unused- people and their unwillingness to change, green house gases are now taking over, we may have only 97 years to live, how would you live them?

We will die out and the only thing left is nature and animals who once had rule of this earth, right now we could put all our efforts to stop this but in the end, we will lose.

How do you feel about this?

I feel that you have under estimated the lengths that the human race is willing to go to in order to survive.

As soon as those at the highest levels of power feel their possible extinction is approaching, they will react with a force and a ruthlessness that this planet has never seen before.

And what if its too late for them to do anything about it? There will come a point, in everything, where there is no turning back no matter what you do. If they realise to late that things are going wrong then mankind is in for rude awakening.

I would live them like I live them now. No rioting, no doing immoral things, im content in waisting away as I am, with the ones I love.

True, and we have already passed the point of turning back.

That is why those nations with resources and power must change and move forward.

The world as we knew it is aleady doomed and it is time to stop whining and accept that a new one must be built.

Those who cannot accept this and who get in the way will have to be destroyed out of necessity.

Terrible, horrible, but it has to be done.

Those who cling to the past and the way they wish things could be that are logically impossible cannot be allowed to destroy the future life of an entire planet.

But people will and are getting in the way, and no ones getting or is going to be destroyed for the sole fact of protecting the future. Thats not the way it works. People stand up to governments who kill hundred, thousands of people, they will certainly stand up to a mass killing spree that would be needed to effect the world at all.

Anywho, who's to say the elites wouldnt just run hide somewhere? Why should they care if the rest of us die or not? Depending on how the world ends they could be perfectly fine in a hole somewhere, untill it blows over.

If elites go into holes, it wont really matter, if the air is not clean enough to breath, if there is no food to eat because you cannot go outside, food runs out eventually- what about electricity- to keep food cold? Disease, there is so many things that could go wrong...if you lived in a hole. To keep civilization alive, will people go to the extremes and go hunting for other planets to live there, and once that planet is depleted will we go in search for another, and another?

Sometimes I do not do so well at expressing a concept to others that is new to them, but I will try.

To the world of the elites a disturbance that they perceive as a threat to their existence would come long before any true resource deterioration threat to them ( water, food, air ).

For them a disturbance in control over the masses is seen as a threat or a massive disturbance in their financial order that gives them their sense of absolute security.

Things that would not frighten you or I can terrify them.

For example, the socialist leader Chavez is seen by many of them as a far greater threat to their survival than Osama bin Laden.

Falling down from the upper class into the middle class is seen as a living death for others of the elite. ( Stock market crash suicides of 1929 )

Each day more of the elite are becoming aware of the increasing lack of global control and impendiong economic chaos. Each day more and more of them have started making their plans and discussing their "final solutions."

Each day nations are making more and more packs that the media does not talk about because they are packs that the media does not know about.

Everything that you are aware of, these nations are aware of also and so they plot together as to how to handle it.

A protracted world war would destroy the planet but a carefully timed kessen, a final descisive battle, would not.

just 97 years... it would be a sad demise for humans. a complex thinking specie who for its neglect and moral deterioration managed to wipe out its own existence. but i'm still confident that we can still turn around things for another generations. say another millennium if not beyond... hopefully

Sounds very much like the Mayan ideas of a new world.

Should this happen then a new approach would kick in about 2012 should the callender be accurate to ours and believed.

Are you speaking of Nostradomus? (sorry for misspelling)

Because that what's his prophecy said- the world would end 2012.

That will be a very interestiong day- see if we all die and so-forth. But I have a small inkling that the end of Man wont be that quick, but you never know- at the rate people are bombing ect. it could happen.

There are several threads on the Mayan calender (sorry I do not know how to link to other threads :( ).

I am not aware of the Nostradamus date as I take his words as co-incidence or a self fulfilling prophecy.

The Mayans (in my attempt to put in lamens terms) have a calender of events like we have in seasons. Their timescale is 1000's of years to each age. The next age is due to begin 2012. Not an end, but a new beginning.

I think you are giving way to much credit to this world- 5 billion, ha, as long as were around I give it, if mankind is lucky, about 150 years maximum.

With all the green house gas- people bombing each other, stupid presidents and rulers, were not going to last that long. But if you are speaking about the world without humans the world could possibly heal itself in time. Unfortunately when were gone this world will be total chaos- because of the destruction we have caused- environmentally wise- the world will probably look like something like th movie "The Day After Tomorrow" Actually its already in process- tornadoes will explode through New York, the worst earthquakes will occur, for the process of wiping out man kind is like payback for what we have done to Earth.

That is the attitude that dooms the human race. The next generation will not be able to fix the problems we set in motion today. Of course in our life time we will see our way of life go down the sh**er unless we start making changes now.

Frogfish is right the Earth will remain after we are gone. It carried on long before we came along and will go on after we are gone. Life is persistent, once it gets a foot hold it remains as long as it can adapt.

I wasn't being serious....... This as you say is the general opinion and has always been.

Smallest change I try and make is re-using plastic bags when I head to the supermarket and not getting bags to put an apple in etc.....

depends on who's in charge of this new order, and what structure we're talking about. A new world is coming to us no matter what plans we make anyway.
