Oh dear. This could pose a bit of a headache for the relativists. Who would have thought that science wouldn't notice this for almost 400 years? :sr

So If I have got this right , then I have a new excuse for a few extra pounds , not only water retention too much salt or menstral flow but the movement of heavenly bodies could well be making me heavier and widening my backside with there gravitational pull.

Yes Kismit, I think you have it right. This article deals specifically with gravity not being a constant, being directly dependant upon earths position relative to other celestial bodies. So when my pants feel tighter around the waistline after some meals and not others, it has more to do with earths position than it does how much I ate. ;D
