The boy, from a mountain village in Vrancea county, had not complained about the germinating bean and was only in the surgery for a check-up. Doctor Nicolae Moise, from County Hospital in Focsani, told Evenimentul Zilei newspaper: "As the boy didn't cry or tell his mother anything, it sprung to life and had little leaves when we found it."
