free4thegroup Posted October 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2006 I have Morgellons disease. After reading most of the posts relating to this subject I was amazed to see how many people out there think this disease is delusional. I contacted Morgellons disease 4 years ago and went through 9 months of hell. I didn't have a clue what was happening to me except I knew I had some kind of parasite. I tried in vain to figure out how I got it and came to the conclussion that it didn't matter how I got it but how I was going to get rid of it. I experimented with all kinds of stuff and ended up using different essential oils that I had heard bugs don't like the smell of. After washing everything that I came in contact with and applying my essential oil treatment I finally got rid of it. It is now 4 years later and I have it again. When I discovered I had this parasite again I couldn't believe it. This time I tried a different approach to the disease and added more ingredients to my treatment. I kept samples of all the unusual critters that I was finding on my body and my doctor observed them under his microscope. He didn't have a clue what I had so sent me to two different skin specialists. They sent my samples to the labs and they came back as unidentified foreign matter. My sister who had seen my samples saw a program on ABC Prime Time about a mysterious disease that was spreading throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as 6 or 7 other countries abroad. She phoned me and I for the first time heard the name Morgellons. To make a long story short, I have been communicating with people all over the U.S. with this disease. I live in Canada and hopefully I will be able to communicate with Canadians with this disease. For every one out there, I am not delusional, I am not neurotic and I wouldn't wish this on any believer or disbeliever.

Raptor Posted October 15, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 15, 2006 (edited) Sorry to hear that. I kept samples of all the unusual critters that I was finding on my body Could you describe them? Do you mean the stringy fibers? There are many researchers over the country who I'm sure would be happy to look in to it and try and analyse the samples, see if you can make contact with any. Denzanrom Posted October 15, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 15, 2006 I just read the article on Wikipedia. I think I may have Morgellon's disease. I have rashes on my shoulders from time to time but I was thinking it was because I was fat or have a poor diet which is probably true anyway. For a few months I noticed these tiny granule like on my shoulders things which I thought were warts. Upon closer inspection they looked too uniform or too much alike to be warts. I thought they were bugs or bug eggs that parasite your body so I once tried pulling one off(It didn't hurt but I didn't think it was smart either just so you know). It was fleshy and I thought maybe it really was a wart or a new type of bug. Anyway I left it alone. I inspect my shoulders from time to time and I just noticed they were gone and that was that. RollingThunder06 Posted October 15, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 15, 2006 What a relief that at least you have a name for it. Have you checked the internet to see if any doctors have posted their thoughts on causes and maybe cures? Please keep us updated.
fangs Posted October 15, 2006 #9 Share Posted October 15, 2006 (edited) Doctors are very stuborn when it comes to somthing they dont know or understand. I've suffered with extreem pain in my right side for over 5 years, all tests they have run have come up negative. the closest i can come to finding anything like it is Porphyria. along with the pain i have get sores that take a long time to heal and a host of other things that seem to fit it better then any other thing they've tested for. i've asked around 5 doctors to test me for it and only one was willing to but i lost my insurance b4 i could do it.the rest seem to take offense that i knew of this disease and they didnt. I had one doctor tell me there was no such thing, then tell me i didnt show any signs of it,this all in the same visit without him leaving the room. So it doesnt suprise me that they treat Morgellons like its a phsycological disease instead of somthing thats real. Keep searching you may find a decent doctor that will help you find the awnsers you are looking for. Edited October 15, 2006 by fangs
Bella-Angelique Posted October 15, 2006 #10 Share Posted October 15, 2006 I looked over the areas and demographical changes of the areas where the first sizable reports came in and where the majority of the patients still manifest. I saw the numbers of illegal aliens and looked to see what sort of animal carriers they might have introduced in great number, suspecting from the descriptions a type of fungus. I found a massive increase and demand for goats and then crossed to fungi they were prone to. source You may see enough similiarity to want to try this. A teaspoon of betadine mixed with three drops of emu oil for tissue penetration, three times a day, as this tends to kill both fungi and bacteria. You may wish to try this until the CDC finishes their study on it and determines a treatment to follow. This is safe and will not hurt you unless you are allergic to iodine. Hope you will be well soon.

I've had a hell of a time with doctors, for the past 5 years, too, and have saved my own life twice, by learning everything I could about the issues and helping myself, when they wouldn't help, Naturpathically. If you don't mind, you are in my prayers. Love yourself, no matter what, which is a struggle with an ongoing illness, but is very healing along with everything else you will find you can do. Saint Macabre Posted October 15, 2006 #14 Share Posted October 15, 2006 Ah, I've heard of this, and it's a shame that there hasn't been any serious inquiry into it...instead of doing research dr.s just say "It's all in your head"...
frogfish Posted October 15, 2006 #15 Share Posted October 15, 2006 First of all, doctors and researcher HAVE done research. After extensive studies, the fibers have been found of synthetic orgin, and there were no 'parasites'. The symptoms PERFECTLY fit delusional parasitosis. Go figure. Bella-Angelique Posted October 15, 2006 #16 Share Posted October 15, 2006 Delusional parasitosis does not mean a physiological trigger is not in place, such as when some people have a non-hallucinatory physical reaction of this type to cocaine for example. What their brain interprets as ants crawling under their skin in that situation is an actual CNS disturbance.

RollingThunder06 Posted October 16, 2006 #18 Share Posted October 16, 2006 Would like to see the source too. I saw the show and some pictures of people with this condition. Didn't look like fibers. If it was, why would tests come back as unknown?

If it was, why would tests come back as unknown? Hey not every doctor can actually tell. Each has their own level of education or different kind. Those are skin tags Really? Thanks for clearing that up! Anyway, I think Morgellon's disease may really be psychological or a case of paranoia of a parasite unknown to others. In any case, if they really do find out that this was done by some kind of parasite, they have to change the name of the disease.
__Kratos__ Posted October 16, 2006 #20 Share Posted October 16, 2006 Which is the case in Morgellons. The fibers are synthetic, from the clothing. There is no parasite. He has collected samples from many victims and analyzed the fibers under a microscope. They resemble no other substance he can find, he said. "While the experiments have to be repeated, this fiber was not cotton. It was no known synthetic fiber. It was of unknown origin. We don't know the composition at this point," said Wymore of Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences. Source

Bella-Angelique Posted October 16, 2006 #22 Share Posted October 16, 2006 What is emu oil? It is oil made from the emu bird. They use it in burn medicines. It has deep tissue penetration properties. There is nothing better for fire ant bites and sun burns than pure 100% emu oil. You should get some to have on hand.
