Hazzard Posted November 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2006 (edited) Huygens data confirm that solid particles found in Titan's atmosphere resemble tholins, complex organic molecules created in laboratories. http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/ESApod/SEMLW7LKKSE_0.html And Landing on Titan – the new movies. http://www.esa.int/SPECIALS/Cassini-Huygen...1.html#subhead7 Edited November 20, 2006 by hazzard
Waspie_Dwarf Posted November 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 20, 2006 I suspect that Titan will be too cold for life. Although complex organic molecules may for in the atmosphere they have long periods of time to do so. Life requires fairly rapid chemical processes and these seem very unlikely a -178°C.
