Male breast milk

My friend told me that in very poor countries, the male will sometimes help breast feed babies. I thought she was 100% full of it, and pulling my leg, but she isn't. I found this, and this. It's a disorder that makes females who haven't had babies and men produce breast milk. But to me, in order for the man to breast feed, he'd have to have this disorder, but the milk probably wouldn't be very healthy. This is very weird, any other information about it?

It's possible, as males do have mammary glands (meaning they can also develop breast cancer), although it rarely occurs. It usually only happens while taking medication that contains female hormones.

I don't see why milk from a male would be any less healthy than a females, although I don't really recommend it unless you want to emotionally scar your child for life.

It's a very rare occourence, but I do belive it has something with how initially we are all female, much like the clitoral bud that can form either a clitoris or a penis.

It's all about hormones, people :tu: This happens when higher levels of prolactin and oxytocin are found in males, along with estrogen.
