Chasing the elusive Skunk Ape

The scene: the Everglades, mysterious in the darkness.Four college kids, armed only with a night-vision camera, trudge through a palmetto thicket, guided by a snake-booted man who claims to have had multiple encounters with the state's most elusive creature.

They seek a half-man, half-simian, fully reeking legend known as the Skunk Ape.A curious rustling draws them closer. Nervous patter. Closer. What is making those sounds? Closer. Suddenly, a blinding flash, screams and . . . .

any sort of evidence of any humanoid creature being discovered in this world would be a major blow most religious doctrines. Even though we teach evolution in schools, however majority of the population still believing in a more supernatural explaination of human and life's origins. living beings such as sasquach or even extra-terrestrial aliens would certainly be a fatal blow to the creationist believes and the believers who put the politiicans in power...

I do not think the politicians / government want this to be found. I do not think they want to deal with the potential fiasco that will come with the discovery of such creature mainly on the idea of whether or not to treat it as a separate species of humans and give them land and rights or treat it as animals, in which many people would protest because it is so human looking, that it would be morally wrong to keep it locked up, disected, or display in zoos and laboratories. better to let it remain a myth and mystery than to deal with the problem. I wouldn't be surprised that the government have been employing park rangers to shoot, kill and get rid of any evidence, dead or alive.

Certainly a stretch in conspiracy theories, but if humanoid primates are still among us in North America, One would think it would have been found by now. I'm positive species like the Sasquatch or the Skunk Ape existed, but are probably now extinct. But, making a night out of hunting a mythical creature is always fun as a group activity!

Who knows, I might be proven totally wrong. If Skunk Apes roam the Florida regions, follow your nose!

the reason none can be found is because they are removed by government workers or officials when they are found. if the park rangers duty are to remove such evidence of creature whenever they came upon, either dead or alive, of course no one would find any evidence.... the government's priority is not for humanity to know about where they came from. their agenda is to keep the powerhold they've got and get rid of anything that might threaten their status. if the evidence threatens the creditbility and validity of the religious sect that hoisted the people who are in the government right now.. they would soon lose their grip on the government. but im sure the church would make up a brilliant explaination for the existance of such hominids if one was to be accidently proven to be real.....
