This is a good post, and it's exactly the way I feel (I think I posted something similar about a billion pages back hahaha). Does it cause mental illness? No I don't think so---but it can absolutely attract (and does) someone who is mentally ill, or exploit or exhasorbate an existing or latent mental condition. Hello and thankyou!.... and you did post something similar about a billion pages back hehehee! I just happen to stumble on this topic and had to share my thoughts .... The ironic thing in terms of my experiences with that type of legalistic sect like church was that it only helped me become a stronger person... at least today I know who Jesus is not :-) and my faith is stronger as a result......
