Can a ghost/spirit manifest the internet?

Hypothetically speaking, could ghosts actually manifest themselves through an internet connection?

I don't have any other information about ghosts, really. I understand they have some electrical qualities, right? Because obviously, they can show up in pictures or on TV sets. The latter making more sense if they were of electrical energy.

Plus, don't ghost hunters uses EMIs to detect electrical signals?

A demon in the computers when Willow was transferring them onto the pc from text. It chatted to her and seduced her. When it manifested, it was partly machine if I remember correctly.

There are numerous reports of spirit phonecalls and messages on answering machines, and since an internet connection relies on a phone line then...... In saying that, we don't know how they're able to interact with a telephone, so it may not be the same thing.

I experienced what I believe to be a live time EVP that I recorded during a voice chat conference, the circumstances under which it happened immediately out ruled cross wires or interference :hmm: it was strange and the Internet/PC/speaker was deff acting as the 'medium'

Did you know that the original motive behind the invention of the telephone ( or was it radio?!?) was for making contact with spirits?

Didn't know that, kewl.

As anything energy related, spirits could possibly connect their energy to the connection of the internet, or mind project their consciousness to influence the internet.

if the devil utilized a serpent in the garden of eden to communicate messages or communication with her and adam then, why wouldnt the infamous internet .have the disembodied spirit creatures that followed satan enough from the ousting of heaven , they could expecially be an influence for inviting evil invisilble forces out there.

I wouldnt go inviting trouble in your life so be careful, the devil caomes as an angle of light he knows that a short time is left only for him to devour us like a lion just waiting for ample oppertunity to utilize whomever appearing deceased ,, or not in ant form of spiritism the forces are theyre . fooling us want to get as many humans as possible cause he has nothing left but to manipulate and take whats gods just to defy him. be carfull dont tinker where allot of these type of spirit mediums can influence a person and not for there own good,.

Here's a strange but true story as told by British paranormal investigator Tom Slemen who also hosts his own radio show on the paranormal......

The Excite Chat Ghost

In December 1998, a 13-year-old girl named Mandy Belvedere suffered a fatal asthma attack and died in her bedroom in Austin, Texas. Mandy's asthma had been getting steadily worse since 1996, and doctors thought the girl was allergic to modern life. It was hypothesized that the artificial chemical additives which lace so many of our foods nowadays were having a detrimental effect on the teenager's health, but no matter what diet was tried, the girl would end up fighting for her breath, and had to have an oxygen tank in her room. Another reaction was scaley eczema-like patches which would appear on the girl's face and arms. Mandy's condition curtailed her teenaged social life. She couldn't enjoy going to her friend's and she didn't even go to school; she had a daily home tutor who popped in for a few hours each day. Without a doubt, her PC provided her with hours of fun and interaction with other teenagers, as Mandy often talked to her peers via Excite chat rooms. She usually went under the name "Belvedere_13" - her surname and age. Mandy had several friends who talked to her in Teen Chat, and she came across as a very witty and funny girl.

However, after Mandy's untimely death, something bizarre happened. The name "Belvedere_13" continued to appear on the screens of people exchanging messages on Excite's Teen Chat. When Mandy's mother was alerted, she assumed some sick hoaxer was at work, but events took a spinechilling turn when Mrs Belvedere logged onto Teen Chat and challenged the person "masquerading" as her deceased daugher. She asked Mandy to prove she was her daughter by answering three very personal questions (which I cannot reproduce here). Belvedere_13 answered all three queries in such detail, Mrs Belvedere almost fainted. More and more questions were put to Belvedere_13 by the other members of Mandy's family, and all the questions were answered in amazing depth.

"Oh my God is that you Mandy? Is it really my girl?" Mrs Belvedere sobbed.

The typed answer came back...."Yes Mom."

When Mrs Belvedere asked the girl how it was possible to be in a chat room on the Net if she was dead, Belvedere_13 failed to reply. Further questions were also met with a lack of response.

The Excite company was asked to try and trace the whereabouts of Belvedere_13, and they said that was impossible. However, a software engineer who heard about the strange case got permission from Excite to try out new Governmental software which could trace computer users to a general area. The engineer established that Belvedere_13 was logging onto Teen Chat from the neighborhood of Austin, Texas where Mandy had lived, but he could tell no more about the sinister chatter.

Reports are still coming in that Belvedere_13 is still chatting to people at Excite Chat even today. If you use the chat rooms, keep an eye out for Belvedere_13...

Ghost in the machine eh? I'm not familiar with ghosts appearing on TV's, though I've heard reports of EVP and phone and answering machine messages. But chatting with a screename? I don't think so, Tim.

I think as more people die these days the more possible it will become. Ancient spirits aren't computer savy :P as we get more modern day spirits..... I would think it will become a common occurence once my generation have died.

Wow interesting!! Your story made goosepimples appear on my arms LOL

You know what that reminded me of, automatic writing but done on the keyboard. I suppose it could be possible that it was someone who was overshadowed by Mandy and she was sort of "typing" through them.

The film White Noise and also The Mothman Prophecies used electrical equipment to enable contact between the dead and the living, both were loosely based on real life. Not sure that is something I would like to get involved in mind.

Note to self: Take a portable bulk tape eraser on next ghost hunt.

  • 2 years later...

I believe they can, should they want to but asking the question, why should they want to be confined within the internet system when they have much more flexibility outside of it?
