There was a game computer game called Shadowgate out during the 1980's that I remembered thinking was awesome as a kid. It came out a few years ago for the Nintendo 64 (I think it was that system), so needless to say I thought it was going to be awesome too.

It was terrible. It seemed there was no point to the game and felt like it took no more than a 30-60 minutes to beat. I couldn't believe there wasn't more to it. <_<

I don't play that much games, at least not anymore but one of the few games that really disappointed me was Unreal 2. To be honest, the first Unreal was only the second first shooter game I in my life, with Quake 2 being the first. Quake 2 was the resson I stopped playing platform games (old Nintendo, Sega and Amiga500). It started with a demo and I got hooked. It was more realistic and you pan around and such. Sometime after a guy recommended Unreal to me. At first I wasn't impressed at all. It wasn't until I got out of that ship I was totally blown away! That planet Na Pali was incredibly beautiful! The only improvment in the second game is the graphics and the voice actors but everything else was lame. It didn't have a story I cared about. The new planet was also boring. It didn't have the fantasy elements of the first game which was both sci-fi and fantasy blended together. Now I haven't played it in a few years but I still regard it as one of the finest games ever made. Sometimes I wish they would release an upgraded version of the first game but only change to modern graphics and add voice actors but nothing else. They do re-makes of movies but Ihave never heard of a re-make of a game.

Another game that was released about the same time as Unreal 2 approximately was Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. I wasn't disappointed in the game itself, I rather love it but aside from the bugs in the game it disappointed me that it never was released as multiplayer as originally intended. That kinda broke my heart at the time because I had so fun in the previous game a few years earlier.

Modern Warfare 2 - Unbelievably Shocking (IW are money grabbing gits who couldn't even be bothered to invest into a dedicated server system.)

Aliens Versus Predator (2010) - The rubbish attempt to introduce Dedicated servers.

Boiling Point: Road to Hell.

It looked like it had everything, sandbox environment, living world to explore, complex story....

Got a buggy awful game, they did patch it, but for by then I'd gone off it. It was too freeform IMO, you could end up so far off what you were meaning to do!

I suppose Far Cry 2 as well. Why did every truck or merc decide to attack you? Why were the merc's aimbots so accurate? Why were there no civilians around? What a shame, great looking game as well.

I was expecting more, but I really enjoy playing it the first time...

I tried to play the second one but I couldn't get into it. :hmm:

The Halo Reach multiplayer was REALLY bad! For some reason it took like 10 minutes between matches to set up everything and find players. It sucked big time. The actual matches themselves were boring also. I kept trying to get killstreaks and take cover from helicopters. I've been spoiled/ruined by MW2 i believe.

Halo 3 was alright but it felt the same as the previous two games. I was disapointed in that. Reach (from footage) seems to be the same thing.

Bungie need to move away from Halo and put effort into something different.
