A Haunting in Connecticut (Documentary)

A Haunting in Connecticut will be aired again on the Discovery Channel on January 2, 2006 from 11 AM - 1 PM.

I personally know Carmen Snedeker, the woman whose family lived in the demonically infested funeral home. I also know John Zaffis, who is the nephew of Ed and Lorraine Warren and one of the investigators who spent over nine weeks in the haunted house.

I believe their stories are true. John Zaffis is a man of high integrity ... and Carmen certainly did not make a great deal of money from the documentary.

I cannot discount the fact that there were undoubtedly problems that existed within the Snedeker family. In the field of paranormal research, it is strongly conjectured that negative entities are attracted to locations where problems such as depression, anger, illness, alcohol and/or substance abuse exist.

FYI: A major motion picture about this story is being filmed during 2006 and will be distributed by Universal Studios.

Also, in conjunction with the film, Carmen Snedeker, John Zaffis and I are planning to co-author a new book that will tell the entirely true and complete story of what happened at the mortuary in Southington, CT.

Holy ****e, is that really Chip Coffey? You're the best!

If it is really you and you're following this thread, what do you think about the interview with Ray Garton here: http://www.damnedct.com/damned-interview-ray-garton/

From the documentary, the incidents followed the typical poltergeist routine, unsurprisingly, considering all the stress vectors, until people started freaking out and finally bringing in a demonologist - looks to me like the phenomena obliged to reflect the popular opinion.

I saw this doco once on the discovery channel and it freaked me out. This is about the boy becoming possessed by a demon after visiting a house his sister bought with her new husband.

Well, THAT explains why the movie was so terrible and nothing at all like the documentary. I assume they couldn't use the story without his permission... So they concocted a completely different story. It shouldn't even have been associated with the documentary. It was such a let-down!

It's disappointing to find out the story was completely fabricated. And the family expects us to believe their claim about having and "misplacing" the video footage evidence. Yeah right! As if you would lose something so important. I wouldn't be surprised if the drug accusations were true... It sure explains a lot!

M1939   :clap:

What surprised me was that although the investigators gathered evidence (I am assuming photos recordings etc?) for the catholic churches exorcism, there didn’t appear to be any shown in the documentary.

EXACTLY!!!! What a bunch of BS!!! They move into a formal funeral home in Connecticut (watched this episode 3-4 times), all these fantastic things occur, a paranormal investigative team (Warrens) stake out the place ... and curiously no footage! Hmmm ... Wonder why? Because nothing -- if anything -- of consequence happened.

The Warrens, Paranormal State, Most Haunted, Psychic Kids/Children (Telling a child their haunted! Very nice! Hope you get sued for child abuse!) ... all do a great disservice to something -- the paranormal -- that deserves serious scientific investigation.
