I have to agree with you. Miserable is the right word.

Poor girl, someone needs to get her a glass of water, maybe scare her a little. You'd think that they could do something for her. Come on, we can go into space, but we can't find out how to stop hiccups? You can see where are good old tax money is going.

If money was spent on trying to solve hiccups, even more people would be complaining about where the tax is going...

They stopped, though, and Mee felt it was safe to go back to school.During her first bout of hiccups, Mee saw an infectious disease specialist, a neurologist, a chiropractor, a hypnotist and an acupuncturist. She tried a patented device that is designed to stop hiccups, plus all the old remedies. According to the National Institutes of Health, hiccups can be triggered by anything from spicy foods to stress, and they can start for no reason at all. They're caused by involuntary contractions of the diaphragm, which causes the vocal cords to close briefly, making that distinctive sound.

How the HELL does she sleep at night hiccupping like that??? And, all that hiccupping must be bad for her heart. She needs to have surgery or somethin.
