I don't attempt to teach anyone anything really... but I would hope that people maintain an open mind and don't close themselves off to things.

I think I just try to teach that it is ok for people who are different to talk, and even to disagree, and there can still be friendship and communication. And we can all still consider ourselves neighbours.

Also that you're not really getting anywhere in a debate if you don't exhaust the premise of your argument before saying it is proven or disproven.
