I've personally seen second offence DUI get longer than that. As much as we all like to see the rich get treated like the rest of us, this isn't such an occasion. The food is no where what she is used to so, she'll probably claim a hardship and get an early release. Either way, she'll have someone write a book about her experiences in the joint, put her name on it and Oprah will push it for her. Six months from now, we'll have to endure the play by play coverage of the ghost writter sueing her for royalty rights. That ought to last a couple of years... Look on the bright side. For a full 45 days, there is a glimmer of a hope that the news will have to report on something other than how drunk/stoned/naked she got last weekend. It's kind of aggrevating to fight with them on a regualr basis about what is appropriate behavior when they are cought up thinking that Paris and Brittney are "role models". The next time a teen daughter tells her mother that Paris does it, that mother can now turn around and say "Yep, and Paris' @$$ went to jail too!". The sick thing about it is that now we'll have a whole generation of girls going to jail to be just like thta sleezzy good for nothing. But, to address your point mopre directly, no it won't change my life although, it might make one aspect of it a little easier. Now if only she would have to serve in general population, just like any one of us , for the same conviction, it would be fair and equal justice. I think they should put her in maximum security... She had a lousy lawyer or no lawyer that didn't tell her the correct number of months in the sentence. This is a good ploy any way and she fired her publicist after she was arrested, who said it was 30 days. If the Governor gets her a good lawyer and can hold it up: she is a good driver, low alcohol level just at or over the limit, did not take corrective studies that say eat or give the drink time to reduce effects, first time offense, will give free ad spots, learn to show up at the studies that a lawyer would tell he to go to or you would not complete the sentence. Not going to the rehab driving classes is a bad sign, yet how could she go with out a car. I think you have limited daytime driving allowances in LA under the suspensions.
