1960 Evil Overpass ! Humble, TX

We tried an EVP during our daytime exploration of the area. The entire recording is still being analyzed, but this part in particular is interesting. It sounded like \"washington\" to us. The speed has been slightly reduced, but nothing else has been done. The digital recorder was left hanging from a limb above a grave. While going through the pics, I saw that one of the headstones had \"Washington\" on it. I\'ve included links for the EVP and the pic of the headstone.

One of us will keep y\'all updated after we conduct the upcoming night investigation.

Welcome to UM. I lived in your area for several years. A few months ago, I visited some friends of mine there. It was amazing to see all the blue tarps that are still on roofs this long after Katrina. I hope you werent one of the people majorly affected by the devastation.

There is an option in your My Controls settings where you can set it to be notified if there are any replies after your post. That will be easier to keep you updated on the thread. Hope that helps .

Hello, I am new to these forums I just happened to find this place through Google. I heard about the 1960 haunting through the Shadowlands website and was wondering is anybody out there was investigating out there last night (Oct 27)? You see I was out there with some cousins of mine last night when we saw some flashlight in the woods and a flash like that of a camera. After that we decided to get out of there(you see I am far more afraid of people rather than ghost). When I saw this site and realized that people seem to ghost hunt out there regularly I wanted to know if it was it was anybody here that was out there. I have ghost hunted w/ my cousins before and would love to find a group that dose this regularly. If anyone is looking for a new member or members(cuz I know my cousins would love to go too) or know of anyother groups looking for newbies please leave a post. Thanks!

I tried to snap some photo of the area for you guys, but my batteries in my Digital Camera went dead. This is strange because I spent all day charging them. Everyone knows if you use regular batteris in a digital does not last long, so i am always prepared. I use High Powered Energizer Rechargable Nickel-metal Hydride.

I had an experience comparable to this. While my friends and I were doing a seonce, I snapped a few pictures, and I had shot a video to see if there would be any paranormal voices on it. About 5 minutes after this, I tried to turn my camera on again, my batteries depleted. After I went home and tried to get the pictures I had taken on my computer, the only thing that showed up was a completely red screen.

Hey I talked to Tussaud over on the houstonhauntings page and he said that you guys dont plan to go back for a few weeks. I'm wanting to go back sooner than that and was wondering where is a good place to park that is close to the cemerary entrance. When I went I parked by Pancho's and had to go behind the resturant to reach the tracks. Also I dont wanna park all out in the open so everybody can see me walking back there. As we walked under the overpass from Pancho's all these cars passed by as we walked. I dont wast anyone seeing me and calling the cops or something. Other than that I have a good idea where to go into the woods thanks to all the maps i've found here so that should help a bit.

Looked at the update photos of the cemetary. (Ones from the putfile.) Any idea of why that blanket, or whatever, is put up like that to the tree? Thanks for sharing the pictures. I am a visual person and this really helps. Listened to the audio but couldn't pick anything up. Not good at it I guess. Will look at the other sites mentioned also.

The area has been known in the past to be inhabited by transients. My guess would be that they put it up to block wind or sun. The police department now does routine patrols on foot in the area, so I don't think that's an issue any longer. There were no signs of any recent transient activity that we could see. We did see a tent deep in the woods, but didn't venture close to see if anyone had been in it recently or was still in it...lol. That was quite a distance from the cemetary though.

I've been pretty busy, so I haven't been able to upload the pics from the Friday night investigation. I'll probably add them to the link where the daytime pics are, but it will be a few days. I took about 80 pics and there are a few of interest. We asked if anyone would like to show themselves and the next pic had an orb. I know, the debatable orb....lol. It was partially behind a tree, so that's why it is one of the pics of interest. Also, our infrared thermometer reflected a drop of approx. 20 degrees in the area the orb was in. It was in the high 50's Friday night. The camera I was using is high quality with a flash separate from the camera body and it was on a tripod for every pic.

i've been down there once, but never saw anything, and i remember the dollar theater it was the best

I still would like to know why it closed down officially. The workers in the Panchos restaurant indicated that they have not experienced any weird activity. ONe of them told JulesTX that he worked in the restaurant for two years with no occurances.

Not exactly sure about that one, but AMC bought out a rival theater across the way from Deerbrook 24 just to shut it down. I would assume that is what happened to the dollar theater. Good riddance, too. The screens and seats were tore up, the food stale, and the games busted up. Calling it run down would be a compliment.

I kind of figured that one. Humble during the early days was not very profitable. Most of the business is going towards Deerbrook mall area. I can see why the dollar theatre went bust.

hey everyone i havnt been on here in a while i have just recently had a baby boy so i havnt been able to go g hunting but i have gone to this grave site a bunch of time with many ppl its not a safe place to be at nite by urself not even 4ppl me and some friends screwed up our first night out their their wuz for of us we park behind motel 8 walk down the hill into the woods all lights and cameras working we had 4led firefighter flash lights with us and as soon as we got on the tracks everything shut off so we deside to go in without lite and no cameras we walk the track about 50yrds and find the way in tword the cemetary we get in and their is a human skul on the path so we kinda freak out and we get to the cemetary and their is a big hole were there used to be a water well on the rite and then we see a fire and 3guys they were the bums that live out their and one wuz named charlie the chased us thru the woods and told us to never come back unless we wanna die so the next day we went back during the day wile they are working their corners and foind their home the live in this old tomb that has fallen apart and has a big NWO written on the side but anyways just be carefull going out their without a group to protect u the bums that live out their are realy crazzy i havnt gotn realy good phottos out their so its definetly haunted i would say............

and if anyone wants to go out their im down for wenever just bring alot of light lol and hope it doesnt go out... jason

Ok, after I left work (where I mostly post from) I went home to gather a few things to go on an investigation. I don't have much equipment exept the general requirements such as Digital Camera, Digital Voice Recorder, and LED Flashlite with Red lense (which I preferred just brite light because I was spooked out.) I figured white light is purest for this occassion because Red look too eeirefor my current mood. HAha What a wus I am. The other members I usually asked to go with me were tied up do to family and wife reasons. (wife did not let him go play)

Anyways, I drove around 45 minutes to a supposedly extremely haunted place. This area is outside Houston, Texas. From what I have heard, everything around the area is active. All the buildings are said to be closed down due to this activity. So, as I drove there, I exited the off ramp and it does a u-turn underneath where there are railroad tracks. So when I spotted the Tracks, I looked around and i drove dead smack into it and didn't even realize this. The freakiest thing I saw was a church, because it has been abondoned from what I saw because the chains on the front door and from what i have read about it. They did not mentioned that there would be a giant white cross in front of the church doors. It looked more like it was there to deter evil spirits instead of a cross that symbolizes a church. Also, the Movie theater, miniture golf and wharhouse are all shut down due to enexplained events. Now to see a church scared enough to shut down is spooky.

Interesting part is, I had a sense of chest pains, like a stress or anxiety attack. Might be a vibe frim all the negative energy, might not. Who knows. N-E ways, it was a overwhelming feeling, you know that feeling when your nervous, and as much as i tried to hold my composure, evry hair on my body stood straight up. The area was built over a confederate cemetery and some of the bodies were unearth during the cinstuction prcess and no took the extra effert in cautiosly and consideratly bury the bodies back carefully. instead, they wrecklessly relocated in to the woods surrounding area. It is said that walking Corpses can be seen walikng around. I tried to snap some photo of the area for you guys, but my batteries in my Digital Camera went dead. That's not the case because I'm home now, and checking to see if moisture or humidty made it doe this....it turns on...no problem now. Batteries are find.........

Humble - 1960 Over Pass Area/Train Track - The East 1960 overpass is now built over what was once a cemetery. The overpass was built to cross a set of train tracks. Workers dug up the cemetery and moved it to the woods beside it. Now It is a extremely evil area. Several business?s along the tracks have reported violent disturbances. There was a Putt Putt course along the tracks in the area that became a church, when the church would be closed in the night demonic screams could be heard from inside. The woods are very active as well, There are images seen floating through the woods as well as red lights, which are believed to be a gateway into pure evil.

Humble - Old Golf and Games - This area is now a church but was abandon for years only a haven to cults and ghosts. The ghosts here are the result of being disturbed by man moving their graves. About 97 percent of every sighting in this area the ghost appear as a rotting corpse. There?s a bench just outside the building where every night there a white figure that sits on the far side of the bench. The figure is that of a human. The corpse like ghosts can also be seen in the woods across from the building wandering through the turned over gravestones and fallen church. IF YOU ATEMPT TO GO TO THIS AREA PLEASE USE EXTREAME CAUTION, THERE HAVE BEEN MURDERS AND BODIES UNCOVERED IN THE WOODS.

Humble - Old Dollar Theater - This Theater is located along a area believed to be haunted by demons and demonic forces. It is part of the 1960 overpass haunting. The workers of the theater would be attacked by the evil entity. It would throw things at them and corner them with shadows. The theater was once blessed with holy water and a cross was put in the projection booth, but everyday the cross was moved from on booth to another unexplained. Some mornings the person who was opening would hear voices from the projection rooms, and footsteps outside the hall. There was one morning when the projectionist went in and found the word "SATIN" carved in the wall of projection booth 2, this booth was where most of the bang and violent attacks occurred.

You can see the area from google earth just type in humble and 1960 over pass. I have been in that area once chasing a storm and we stopped right in that area your talking about I believe. Of course I didn't really notice anything creepy but I wasn't looking

for it either.
