OriginalGuest Posted December 8, 2006 #278 Share Posted December 8, 2006 Here is the story behind the incident in the 1960 overpass area. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/4384864.html You shouldn't worry too much about that. It was at the Shell station a few streets down and from all appearances the robbers headed out of Humble. I doubt anyone but pothead gangbangers go in those woods anymore. Looking at the statistics, I believe there were 2 homicides in Humble last year, so, yeah.
rachelkleypassparrow Posted December 8, 2006 #279 Share Posted December 8, 2006 One of our muesems is alleged to be haunted. When my husband takes me up there, I am going to ask if I can use my camera and tape recorder to see if I catch any phenomena. I have got evps in my flat regardless of time day, or night. According to a medium as I had crossed over briefly to the other side, I act as a beacon, so they find me easy and do they ever. I have gotten some really strange evps, which I have posted to youtube. Call up, 'She suffered'. That is one of mine recorded in my flat. I am going to try and get something from the muesem to post here, if they don't mind, I have a muesem setting on my camera.

I would be glad to see your results in the future but this thread is about 1960 overpass area. You might want to start a new thread with your findings. Nipheliem Posted December 11, 2006 #287 Share Posted December 11, 2006 Odd. But nothing necessarily out of the ordinary. It's highly possible that, knowing the history of the place, you just had bad vibes and let your imagination run away with you. I'd definately go back with a group. Maybe try to find someone who doesn't know anything about the reputation of the overpass place. Hell, I'd go. How far is it from Tulsa to where you are? true but the problem that there is with a group is group histeria. its hard cause either its your paranoid and ur imagination runs wild with you if your by yourself but yet if you go with a group its group histeria. hmm... maybe send like a robot or something lol bad joke

We have gone a few times now and have all of our results on our investigation group page at houstonhauntings.ongoingmission.com. There are many pictures there as well as the EVP we have captured. I'm pretty sutr that is something that was covered already. Same with experiment which you put a group of ghosthunters in a house and tell them that it's haunted even though it's not... VS.... Having people stay the night in a haunted house and not tell them that it IS haunted... and see what the responses are. Hippy Hollow is on Lake Travis, over to the northwest of this location. I have never been there myself, but this is what is said... Hippy Hollow? I've been there numerous times and love to camp there. WARNING... Hippy Hollow is a clothes optional park so it's a nude beach nestled away in a corner of Lake Travis. You must be 18+ years. It's got volleyball courts and BBQ pits and picnic tables and public bathrooms. Never got any orb photos...ever.. from there at least. If you're ever on Lake Travis, go to " Pale Face " cliffs. It is the place to go for cliff diving. The cliffs are at least 5 floors high. If you stand at the edge, the rocks below gives the name Pale Face, because the rock shoreline extends out for 25 yards. You must get a running start to clear the rocks. I landed into the water hard enough to get purple and green bruises on the back of my arms and shoulder from not tucking my arms in on impact. Swimming back to shore and then climbing the cliff back up to jump again is always a bonus. 2 months ago.. driving through Mansfield Dam of Lake Travis... Once your past Mansfield Dam you see a tip of Lake Travis.. From the shoreline of Hippy Hollow looking out..... The water visibility is pretty decent.. My little secret spot... No orbs during the day at Hippy Hollow... Edited December 13, 2006 by NME_locus

I am always the skeptical one and will always find an explaination into something paranormal. I was just on an outing about three weeks ago in an area known as Patterson Road in katy, TX. I met with some people who feel that this place is experiencing a paranormal activity. I went to this area with that person plus a few more for the investigation. I was told that dark shadows were seen in the area running around during past visits. many members of the Investigation team were optimistic that evidence of the paranormal would be found. Upon arriving in this area, I noticed alot of wildlife were running around. I pointed out to the person who witnessed shadows that deers might be the culprits. I explained to him that deers are fast and elusive animals which could enter and leave in a flick of the second. I have hunted deers all my life and found that they can disappear and the only thing you see will be the shadows. I provided this team member my opinion and explaination as to what he saw that night. kiddglock Posted December 15, 2006 #298 Share Posted December 15, 2006 Is the fishing good? I would go if the fishing is good and no monsters in the lake. I drove through Marble Falls a few months back. It used to be one of the most beatiful spots on earth. It is just too grown up around there now. Leave all the politics and racsim out of it: We have to get a handle on immigration as it is ruining our country if in no other way than just making it too crowded. I love people but I love having some room to move around too. I don't think folks were meant to live stacked one upon the other. Sorry for the rant. Y'all ever eat at Storm's? I tell you what, for a cheeseburger and fries, dang, they are about the best. I love that one at Lampassas (I think it's the original) where they got the water coming out of the rock. It was pretty hot the evening we ate there, but we ate out in that gazebo-type area outside, rather than in our air conditioned truck, just so we could watch the water. I agree that the shadows were more than likely deer. There was a slight spike on the EMF meter on the bridge, but I don't think it was caused by anything paranormal. Nothing out of the ordinary came out in the pics and EVP that were taken. I'm not sure if I'd be willing to go back out to Patterson Rd. again. IMO, it is overhyped. However, we have gotten a couple of good EVPs and pics from the 1960 Overpass.
