MissMelsWell Posted July 5, 2007 #10 Share Posted July 5, 2007 I live in Washington state... we have interesting town's/locations that generally make this list... the number one being the: Humptulips river (pronounced hump-too-lips, basically just how it's spelled) The Hoh River Rainforest (pronounced Ho) Tulalip WA (two-lay-lip) Then there's everyone's favorite ****et Thailand, which is near the Pi Pi islands pronounced Pee Pee. Then there's a town near me called Issaquah. The old joke is that it got it's name when Lewis and Clark rolled through the area, saw a native woman and pointed her out and said "Look Louis! It's a Squaw!" The name is pronounced Iss-ah-cwah one of my favorite river names around here is the "Skookumchuck" river... it's just plain fun to say. hahah. There is Hell, PA and not far from that is cemetary hill, PA. I don't think the entire population of either towm is oveer 500 people and I can see why.
