creature sighting

In a lot of yowie encounters it's interesting that that they stalk you in a 45degree angle behind you, did you notice anything like that or was it following in your foot steps?

I live in west virginia also near Dupont plant.. I was hunting in the woods I found a spot where I sat there was alot of trails of grass where it was laid down like something crawled around alot  i sat there for awhile thought i saw i deer in the distance eating a leaf from a tree put my scope on it and I saw a creature that looked like a deer had red and white splotchy skin, green eyes and it crawled around.very scary looking I shot and it many times and it vanished with no trace. I don't go back there
