As robots become increasingly sophisticated, concerns have been raised over future job availability.
There's no denying that technology has not only advanced in leaps and bounds over the last few decades but that it has enriched our everyday lives in more ways than one with computers, mobile phones and other gadgets being commonplace in most households. But while the future might seem rosy, behind the scenes a robot revolution is taking place that is seeing more and more jobs being rendered obsolete as they are taken over by automated systems and sophisticated robots.
So are we heading for a future where widespread unemployment will ensue due to the ever-increasing take-up of automated machines ? Will human workers eventually become a thing of the past ?
In the past, robots were exceedingly expensive, and that limited their usefulness in the workplace, but as you will see later in this article that is rapidly changing. As robots continue to become even more advanced and even less expensive, will there eventually come a point where the "human worker" is virtually obsolete?
