A pilot flying over the UK had a near-miss with an unidentified object that flew towards his plane.
The incident, involving an Airbus A320, took place over Berkshire during a routine flight. The plane had been flying at a height of 34,000ft when the pilot spotted a strange silver object traveling towards him at what appeared to be the same altitude.

"Having very little time to focus, he was under the apprehension that they were on a collision course with no time to react," a report on the incident stated. "His immediate reaction was to duck to the right and reach over to alert the first officer; there was no time to talk to alert him."
The pilot later reported his experience to an investigative safety watchdog, describing the object as a metallic silver cigar-shaped craft. The incident is believed to have taken place around 20 miles to the west of Heathrow Airport.

Investigators looked in to the incident but were unable to find anything. "It wasn't possible to trace the object or determine the likely cause of the sighting," they concluded.

exactly.. Not really. Geese are often spotted at high altitudes where they catch favorable winds or avoid headwinds.

Who said it is little green men? Do you know that? How do you know it? What is your basis for this hypothesis? I stand on the large multitude of cases totally unexplainable. I can supply investigation reports, witness testimony, some that have accompanying images. What do you stand on? All you stand on as far as I can see is denial. But you do give the impression that if something is written in a newspaper/magazine or if something is on camera no matter how far fetched that you are able to and willing to believe it. Sorry

Faked videos from skeptics are usually designed to demonstrate how willing believers are to use any story to validate their beliefs. Maybe. Or they could be deliberately intended to deceive. Such is the ferocity of the sense of denial in some people.

Right, the stories do exist but what about the cigar shaped UFOs? Don't tell me. Everyone's mistaken right? See this case: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=259817&st=60#entry5025739 When I see cases like this my mind is firmly made up and I make no apologies for that. I can find another dozen like that in a matter of minutes.

[...] Moon on the horizon? I said earlier that this appears to be another red herring. Please tell. Wait, are you saying well know perceptual phenomenon is red herring? Ummm... Ok... Explains a lot...

Wait, are you saying well know perceptual phenomenon is red herring? Ummm... Ok... Explains a lot... To be honest BK I reckon these things are well overplayed. If I know about these things then pilots certainly do. It's like Venus being blamed for UFO sightings. Everyone knows or should know that Venus remains within approx 42 degrees of the sun which is why it's most visible in at sunrise and sunset. Very fundamental things really and not worth making a big deal of imho.
