Wormhole may exist at center of our galaxy

A new study has opened up the possibility that the center of our galaxy is actually a massive wormhole.
A science fiction staple, wormholes are theoretical shortcuts through the fabric of spacetime that could enable a spacecraft to travel from one part of the universe to another in a matter of seconds without having to go through the space in between.

Even though no direct evidence of wormholes exists physicists have long speculated over the possibility. Even Albert Einstein proposed the idea of wormholes in his theory of General Relativity.

Now thanks to a new study however the case for the existence of these theoretical portals has been given a significant boost. Astrophysicists from India, Italy and the US have published a new paper with mathematical evidence suggesting that the supermassive black hole at the center of our Milky Way galaxy might actually be a gigantic wormhole.
While the paper doesn't definitively prove that wormholes exist it does open up the door to a renewed interest in seeking out direct observations of these enigmatic objects.

"Our result is very important because it confirms the possible existence of wormholes in most of the spiral galaxies," the researchers wrote.

If this turned out to be the case then it might even be possible that we are sitting on a veritable intergalactic travel hub that future explorers could use to reach even the most distant of galaxies.

Is it possible right now for humanity to "take a picture" of our galactic center? If that is possible with technology available today, I don't know if I have ever seen a photo of the center of our galaxy? The impossible of today is the probable of tomorrow. What is being worked on right now that will help humanity to leap to that next level, and then of course what comes after that? The universe is like a magicians chest from when we were children, where everything inside was mysterious and full of infinite possibilities. I wish that I was smart enough to be working on some of those "next leve... [More]

A gigantic mass of black filth that sucks up all light and matter and has a over whelming sense of self worth lies at the center of our galaxy... And it is called....Democrat.

The center of the Galaxy is roughly 25,000 light YEARS away... Thus far humans have travelled ~14 light HOURS (and its taken us 26+ years to do it with Voyager)... It is about 219,000,000 light hours to the center of the galaxy.... At close to .5 Light Hours a year travelled... it would take Voyager 438,000,000 years to get there... Probably not worth the effort for a crewed mission... The article states the entire galaxy could be a wormhole, or contain one that is as large as the galaxy. Doesn't say you need to get to the center. Harte

An "Einstein-Penrose" bridge?? What have I missed whilst earning a buck or two? I always thought it was an "Einstein-Rosen" bridge and that "Penrose" was Danger Mouse' sidekick

I can't read the original article... just going by other comments about the center of the galaxy... Nanobots...send them first No... Why take a risk with the safety and health of poor harmless nano-bots... Send the Kardashians...

If you can out pace the Galaxy you can just go up ahead and wait ~ don't have to travel as far ~

in any constellation there is a black hole which creatures a vortex and a the universal spiral shape of the galaxy since black holes are know to break the fabric of space and time the theory is not crazy. it is simple as migrating slowly the entire matter on the galaxy on the other side which is the flip version of our galaxy or a different plan / dimension.
