Does Bigfoot roam the forests of British Columbia ? Image Credit: Steve Bexter / Pexels
A chance sighting of a mysterious biped at the side of the road near Silverton has been making the news this week.
Local news outlets in Canada have been reporting on the sighting of a large, unidentified creature that was witnessed back on December 25th in British Columbia.

Erica Spink-D'Souza and three of her friends had been driving home at around 9pm on Christmas Day when two of the group - Erica (who was in the back seat) and another (who was in the front) caught sight of a "huge man standing on two legs" which "bent over and fell to four legs."

Both agreed that it was not a bear, especially given that bears are hibernating at this time of year.

After returning home, the group decided to go back to the scene of the sighting to look for clues. They discovered what appeared to be a set of large tracks where the creature had been. One of the group also reported feeling as though someone was watching them from the trees.
"We live near Silverton British Columbia in Canada," Erica wrote. "We have also been walking in the woods near our house and one time I saw a structure/set up of trees that looked deliberately placed in different criss-cross arrangement. I also heard deep resonate sounds one night right after we first moved in to our new property near Silverton, BC. It sounded part human, part animal."

So could there be a Bigfoot roaming the woods near Silverton, or is there a conventional explanation ?

Exactly.  Unexplained does not mean unexplainable.

Very true! Perhaps you would like to be the first to explain quantum tunneling.  Hehummm. In the meantime, it's a mystery, however real.

Exactly. The telling part is factors that can be investigated and quantified do not stand up to scrutiny for the BF phenomenon. Again, when paranormal explanations are applied to explain other paranormal items the discussion becomes pointless. Even though others reach deep into the bag of "what if?" those items are also easily rebutted; https://www.physlink.com/education/askexperts/ae460.cfm "What are the odds of me experiencing Quantum Tunneling?" "... which is so small it is almost zero. So once again, for a human being the answer is: almost impossible. However for objects with extremely sm... [More]

I don't know is a perfectly good response. But a pretend answer is not.

So if i follow along the pretty much complete and total lack of viable evidence for the existence of bigfoot has driven it to suggesting BF is some quantum dimensions entity akin to when people making claims of hauntings, spookies and special powers have zero to back up their claims they fall back on "it doesnt work that way" you skeptics are close minded.

This includes experts in the field saying it is impossible for something the size of a human (or larger) to engage in quantum tunneling. There are those that keep moving the goal posts for some absurd reason. I guess they find it more reasonable to argue instead of accept reality.

Thats the pebble in my shoe i suppose, a person wants to discuss this or any topic im in but i dont care to debate, its not personal to me, while i do not see any reason to believe BF exists i would be delightedif it did so i guess that means in some obscure way i say its possible it does exist i just havent seen anything to make me believe does or has any real likelihood. I sure do not care if a person desires to blindly believe why are they so upset that i wont.

Oh, so saying that QT happens is "pretend"?

No.  I'm saying a pretend conjecture as to what it "is" or what it "does" or what it can "do" is specious. To quote a pertinent expert: “I think I can safely say that nobody understands quantum mechanics.”  Richard Feynman.
