Could Project Blue Book be about to return ?

The US government could soon have its first dedicated UFO investigation office in more than 50 years.
According to reports, the upcoming FY 2022 National Defense Authorization Act contains a clause calling for the establishment of a new permanent office dedicated to the investigation of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.

If this goes ahead, it will be the first time a formerly acknowledged, permanently staffed UFO research effort has been established in the United States since Project Blue Book which ran from 1952-1969.
The exact wording in the document is as follows:

"Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Director of National Intelligence, shall establish an office within the Office of the Secretary of Defense to carry out, on a Department-wide basis, the mission currently performed by the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force as of the date of the enactment of this Act."

The move provides further evidence that the US government is taking the UFO phenomenon seriously and that the powers that be consider it of sufficient interest to warrant further investigation.

It also represents something of a shift in attitude given that, until relatively recently, there had been no formal acknowledgement that these objects existed or were being actively investigated.

If the new office goes ahead, it will be very interesting indeed to see what it comes up with.

I'm not sure how accurate "The Debrief" is, but with today's knowledge and tech, that would be more than interesting.

Yes it would be very interesting, most don't realize that the the Radar Systems on Specialized Navy Ships with give you 3-dimensional images in real time and that technology was operational in 2002. That is only part of the technology available today Military Imaging and Surveillance Technology (MIST) (Archived). https://www.darpa.mil/program/military-imaging-and-surveillance-technology US Navy 3D Radar in the C Band  https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/1017969
