Google UFO logo mystery - UM swamped

UM is being inundated by visitors today after Google mysteriously changed its homepage logo to a UFO with a link to the search terms "unexplained phenomenon" and leaving many wondering what event the doodle is intended to represent.
Google's latest doodle - the adapted version of its logo that appears on its homepage - today features an image of a UFO with a link to the search term "unexplained phenomenon".

hmmmm........ Ah, that'll be the War of the Worlds theme. Though I'm not sure how much of Woking* looks quite like that any more. *Where the Martians landed

I dont think the Google UFO means much. I would find this Budweiser commercial more interesting and would question any "true" meaning before the Google UFO. Is Budweiser trying to tell us something?: Budweiser "True" Commercial

hmmmm........ A week before this, a few days after the UFO one, they had a crop circle one for a whole day. I was at work all day and this site was blocked by the filter so I was hoping someone would see it and link it. But doesn't look like it.

I like how they built upon the UFO aspect of H.G.s concept, with the modern day incorperation on the Moon into the theme. Something about the theories of the Moon being home base, ufo/artifictual structure, or such.
