Putting new meaning to the slogan "Intel Inside", Intel researchers are planning to develop brain implants that can be used to control different gadgets directly via brain waves by the year 2020.
Researchers expect brain waves to operate computers, TVs and cell phones. If the idea of turning consumers into true cyborgs sounds creepy, don't tell Intel researchers. Intel's Pittsburgh lab aims to develop brain implants that can control all sorts of gadgets directly via brain waves by 2020.

No one without serious disabilities or a seriously warped sense of what is cool will subject themselves to an implantation surgery which carries nonzero chance of permanent disability and weeks to months of recovery time.

Well it better be compatible with Macs. If it requires surgery, hell no, not another one for me thanks. Too creepy. I'd rather use the old fashion way of using a remote and mouse thank you very much!

Why can't Intel make a breast implant chip that can balloon or shrink to the size that a woman wants?

I bet there will be some secret commands too in those implants... when the whole world or at least most of the world would be implanted.. they would trigger those and the whole world would kneel before Intel. It's a freakin' world domination project! Throw away your Intel processors while you have time.

What if something goes wrong and it screws up people's brains? I don't know why, but I keep on thinking it might be used for mind control.

I'll wait about 5 yrs after release to see how many people get labotamized when it short circuts. I agree. Let the rich kids be the guinea pigs for the first few years. Then, once they work the kinks out, prices for the surgery and equipment come down, and it becomes more common, I'll consider it.
