The Pope visited Turin this week to view the famous shroud which has gone on display for the first time in ten years.
He spent a few minutes praying before the shroud however did not comment directly on its authenticity or recent doubts over its age brought up by scientists. "The Holy Shroud eloquently reminds us of Jesus' suffering", he said.
Pope Benedict XVI has viewed the Turin shroud - the cloth in which, according to many believers, Christ was buried. "The Holy Shroud eloquently reminds us of Jesus' suffering", he said in Turin.

Good, good , this is my kind of pope. I would have done the same. The shroud is kept in a bullet-proof case, so he couldn't get to it anyhow. Just looking, and praying a bit, of course. I know the feeling. There's something fishy about this pope.

I know the feeling. There's something fishy about this pope. Excellent. To quote Futurama "Is the space pope reptilian?".

I know the feeling. There's something fishy about this pope. Lol, well I feel a little better that someone beat me to it. Had a feeling I was gonna end up saying something about that. I was on the phone with my girl when I opened the home page and saw the picture with the article. Immediately blurted out "Holy crap the pope looks like the emperor!"

A better story would be this picture of the Pope giving the Masonic Devil Horns hand sign (which is nick named the "hook 'em": http://media.photobucket.com/image/pope%20gives%20horns%20sign/Inverted_Heptagram_Star/Pope_Ratzinger_handsign_001.jpg Makes you wonder about the Church, doesn't it?
