cut an arm off her and count the rings then i'll believe it lol I think she was preserved in a jar of pickles.....does she look like leather? i thought she would look something like this except no beard

This is obviously fake. How come this didn't come up when she was 107 or 117 or 127 or 137 or 147?

Her great age is probably due to a lot of factors: genetics; a diet without fast/junk food; probably no microwave oven; probably an adequate amount of exercise her whole life (those people work HARD!).

I'm having trouble believing this.

these stories are never true, and its always from parts of the world were people are poorly educated and count the years according to the monsoons. it reminds me of Mrs pong ping ding a ling.

I have extensive research on this topic and have found at least 25 people, 250 years and older, living amoung us today. And the oldest that I have found who is still alive today is nearly 2,800 years old. And while there is, nor will there ever be, any absolute "smoking gun" evidence that someone is of a particluar age, especially when we live in an age of rampant identiy theft; there is a lot of circumstantial evidence proving these people really did live this long. If this does turn out to be true, it'll be amazing. But I'm left with just one question: would you want to live that long? Seriously. Just think about it...

Better not be a hoax, but the truly old saying goes "Truth is stranger than fiction". Whatever was her secret to extreme longevity in her years could well be kept secret to her grave. It is scientifically proven that genes in a person, a good healthy diet and lifestyle, and a cultural emphasis on how to live life (or the French call "joie de vivre") can extend ones' life span beyond the predicted ones by life insurance companies.

To anyone who thinks this might be true, why don't you google 'Bridges for Sale'. You may be able to find a good deal.
