A very rare lobster has been found off the coast of England with a peculiar chequered black and red pattern.
Scarborough Sea Life Centre Todd German said: 'There have been unusual coloured lobsters found in the past but he is remarkable because he has two colours separated by a near perfect straight line along the back of his carapace.'
An extremely rare chequered lobster has been plucked from the seabed in Yorkshire by stunned fisherman. The crustacean - dubbed 'Harley Quin' for it's bizarre red and black chequered appearance - is being analysed by marine experts who claim it is a rarity of 50million-to-one.

The reason, I believe, they tie the claws is not to protect you from them, but them from each other. They're a carnivourous lot, apparently.

Shame they took him out of the ocean. He will be missing his friends. Just like humans, find something new and kill it.

Last summer someone pulled a crab out of the Chesapeake Bay that had one blue claw and one pink claw (which meant that it was half male & half female). I wonder if that animal and this one are chimeras. They should take DNA from the two halves of the lobster's body and find out if it's a conjoined twin of itself.

I wonder if it tastes different from other lobster? I have to admit, when I see one, I think of little else.

I wonder if it tastes different from other lobster? "Okay, would you like light meat or dark meat?..."
