30 years on from the famous UFO incident at Rendlesham Forest the event still remains a mystery.
It still isn't clear what exactly turned up in the woods near Woodbridge airbase in 1980, theories continue to range from extraterrestrial visitation to a top secret military experiment to the lights from a nearby lighthouse.
"Thirty years after claims that UFOs had been spotted in Rendlesham Forest, experts and enthusiasts still can't agree on what happened."
The point of the arugment is, the intitial report was made from that area, which meant that the lights, which were initially reported, did not come from the lighthouse at all, so the question is, what was the source of those lights within the forest? This was a true incident on the ET scale, and, there is more to the Rendlesham incidents as well, and another reason why I am calling this an ET-related incident. Other questions to ponder. What happened to all of those photos, videos, and radar data during the nights of the incidents? Which Ridpath says could have well been an astronomical event.... [More]
That is not from the East gate. Do it from the right location. That road is heading South-East towards the forest, look on the maps if you don't belive me.

Oh no it doesn't!! Oh yes it does, and even the local folks have confirmed the accounts of the military.

Where is the road? i dont see it on the map. On the map skyeagle posted, the road is the dotted line running from East Gate to the yellow road. The pic you posted looks accurate to me, it even shows a part of the track leading off to the right, which is the track you use to get to East Gate when being directed from the car park. The only difference I can see from your pic, and what I remember from being there, is the height of the bushes/trees down the side of that road...that's it though.
I originally put this in the Roswell thread, for reasons that needn't bother us here. I may as well put it here, since it's just some musings that I've been thinking about. An interesting aside is that what Woodbridge was built for, during the war, was as an emergency landing ground for aircraft coming back over the Channel. (If it is the Channel there; maybe the North Sea). Anyway, also considering that the Aerospace Rescue lot were based there as well, weren't they. Wild imaginings time: what if the govt (that's the US govt, of course) had an arrangement with the ETs that if they did find th... [More]
^^ Further to that, it may even have been a prearranged landing; perhaps not a manned (or aliened) spacecraft, but a probe or drone, to which the USAF was party. So why did it land in the woods? Well, Woodbridge isn't like Area 51; there are people living nearby, you can walk right outside the fence and see what's going on, even at night there'd have been people in the vicinity who could see if something curious landed inside the base, so what if the landing outside the base was deliberate? A rendezvous in a given spot in the woods was prearranged, with those who needed to know in the know, in... [More]
