The octopus credited with predicting World Cup match outcomes last year is to be commemorated.
Paul the Psychic Octopus who died three months ago is to be honoured with a statue and a shrine to mark his death. Paul gained worldwide attention last year for accurately predicting the results of several World Cup games by picking some food from one of two boxes bearing the flags of the teams participating.
Paul the octopus, who shot to fame during the football World Cup last year for his flawless record in predicting the outcome of games, will get a shrine to mark three months since he died, his aquarium said on Monday.
