Pyramids built by leadership, not slavery

Author Arthur Carmazzi contends that good leadership skills as oppose to slavery built the Pyramids. There's really not much evidence that slavery was extremely pervasive in ancient Egypt but there's not a lot of evidence of anything. Certainly slavery was an institution as shown in the Palermo Stone which is normally taken to be legitimate history and as evi- denced by the Narmer Palette which suggests enemy combatants were executed. Saru's topic is one that always bears repeating. The truth behind slaves and Egyptian pyramids might be well understood by those who've committed themselves to studying the history, but it's clear to me, at least, that it's still not well understood among average people. Even if the second post seems to be right, I have to agree with kmt: This cannot be repeated frequently enough as well as the fact that slavery was pretty uncommon in Egypt until the Greek takeover (no matter what a certain book seez).

The first recorded labor strike in history was found while building the Great Pyramid. Slaves hardly had the opportunity to strike on the job. Paid laborers built the pyramids and tombs in the Valley of the Kings. And of course, the artisans who magnificently decorated the resting places of the pharoahs.

It's interesting you say this since I believe it as well and can't come up with any evidence that would be widely known or interpreted the same as I interpret it.
