Blood test to reveal how fast you age

A test able to help estimate how long you have left to live will go on sale in the UK later this year.
The test works by measuring the length of your telomeres, vital structures at the tips of your chromosomes. It is believed that telomere testing will become widespread within the next ten years and could influence everything from lifestyle to life insurance policies.A blood test that can show how fast someone is ageing – and offers the tantalising possibility of estimating how long they have left to live – is to go on sale to the general public in Britain later this year.
