Two girls planking for a purpose

Two young Taiwanese women use the unusual new fad of "planking" to help promote positive messages.

"Planking" is a notorious fad that involves lying on the ground face-down at various locations and having a picture taken. Warnings have been put out however regarding the dangers of this activity after a 20-year-old man fell to his death when trying to plank on a seventh-floor balcony in Australia.

"Lying face flat on the ground may not be the world's most glamorous photo pose but two Taiwanese 'planking' women have made a name for themselves on the Internet - and hope to use the craze to spread positive social messages."

How is this a new fad? I have a hundred photos of me doing the same thing back in my college days but no one thought it was that cool back then.
