Long lost ring found on growing carrot

Image Credit: Kander Lena Paahlsson had misplaced the ring in 1995 after placing it on her kitchen draining board to do some baking. When she went back to retrieve it she discovered it had gone and despite turning the kitchen upside-down nobody was able to locate it. 16 years on and Lena was digging up vegetables in her garden when she discovered a gold band around one of the carrots - it was her ring, it must have made its way in to the compost heap and then to the vegetable garden where a carrot had grown precisely through the middle of it.
